Agreed. If they tried to expand the stadium they would be able to encourage a lot more long term fans instead of increasing the prices and discouraging fans. I'm all for increasing prices to fans for extras such as lounges/restaurants but keeping prices cheap for the majority while making it easy for everybody to buy programmes, food and drink and other merchandise.
What was that Trencin chant about when the fans in one corner chanted and the opposite corner responded? Maybe the south stand and west stand could do something similar?
Trouble with selling kids season tickets at stupidly low prices is people abuse it. It has been know for 'fans' to buy kid's passes and never use them until the 'big games' Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal etc. Then they 'upgrade them to an adult's ticket. It guarantee's them a seat yet denies the same seat for a supporter for the majority of league games. I'm all for letting kids in for next to nowt and if we had a bigger ground we maybe could. My own grandson's season ticket has gone up £100 this year. The answer is in supply and demand, at the moment we can sell the majority of the seats at full pops, because the stadiums capacity is too small, we should be demanding the council and AA get together for the good of the city and the club, because more people visiting Hull for sport means more hotels rooms sold, beer, taxis, buses, money spent in shops, trains, car parks, cafes, etc etc etc which all leads to more jobs and a better local economy.
The Trencin fans in the side stand were quiet and there were no fans behind the goal and then suddenly there was a noise from the far end! They must have all rushed in at once. The side stand must have been waiting for them. I think there will only be 50-100 Trencin fans but I'm sure they will be interesting.
just seen this on FB Just 500 tickets left now for Thursday's game against FK AS Trencin - majority in West Stand Upper with a handful in the East Stand. Available online now - http://bit.ly/1g9RuJ4 A very small batch still available from Tiger Leisure at Princes Quay from 9am on Tuesday morning (first come, first served).
Despite being top quartile in facial looks...the body is fourth quartile hence the overall measurement is upper third. Bit of a pisser when once the best looking filly in town would approach me to discuss matters of the heart. That was my Romeo and Juliet experience anyway.
I think city sold this in a very very clever way. Only opening a few stands to then sell them out creating a panic for people to hurry up and buy tickets in advance. Clever move
Yes that's one very plausible explanation. So we are going to sell out a pre season night game against anonymous opposition- how can we capitalise on it for future games? Does it say something about pricing?
I think if we are pricing some Premier League games at £16 for adults then £10 for this is the right price All cup games should be £10 and lets fill the ground
The recent good weather and the fact tickets are so cheap during the school holidays helps too I think
