But hurt ma knee on day 2 coming over Loch Lomond....walked the 50 or so miles to Fort William wae a straight leg. Agony...got back and went to A&E. They told me I have damaged ma knee ligaments. Aff work for 2 weeks!

Had a great time tho and had a great laugh on the way. Did you meet up wae they mad ****s dressed in kilts and constantly drunk?

tbh it was me and the other guy who told him to go. it was right down to the muscle sack and had killed the nerve endings (which was why he wasnt bothered!) but it was the infection we were worried about as it was past lynf and into gunge.

however he is a ****ing idiot for wearing rigid walking boots (the type you can fit with a crampon) for something like that <doh> dumbass

I'm still going to say his **** is weak <laugh>

Sounds pretty nasty. I didn't walk long enough to get a blister <laugh> As soon as we got to Balmaha I was on my way. Slowed us down a lot and was in excruciating pain. There were times when I would have gladly cut my leg off with a rusty saw. At one point Frank and his mate were talking to a guy about 50 yards in front of me. I slid on the ice and ****ed it. At that point my knee felt like it had been destroyed. Got straight back up and made out I was fine <laugh> <laugh> <doh>

i didnt think he'd make it tbh and in the end it was his feet that screwed him over which can happen to anyone, although he is an idiot for wearing those boots. not like me and the other guy said i told you so though <whistle>

i tore the cartilege in my knee when i was 17 (got pissed, hurdled a wall, fell ten feet) and went up ben nevis 2 days later. i was smacked off my tits on athrotec which i'd nicked off my dad (he had them for a slipped disc). do remember coming off the hill and my leg going into the snow up to my knee and pitching forward over my leg. my mate found me just sitting there sobbing <laugh>

    that was ****ing terrible.

It's horrendous pain. I could feel mine grinding with every single step. I was sitting on the train to Glasgow and was almost in tears. Found out later that I had tore the ligaments and my hamstring as well <doh>

The doctors would put a hand on my knee then move my foot because they could feel the knee trembling and grinding. They all thought it was brilliant <doh>

They told me I have arthritis in the knee, but it's not going to affect me for maybe 15, 20 years. Fair enough if I was 50, but I'm only 21 <laugh> I've basically been told I'll be a cripple by the time I'm 40 <doh> At least I'll get one of those disabled badges <laugh>

    ****ing hell <laugh>

You didnt walk past Rob Roy's cave through the night did you? Thats suicide!

I will be back to tackle this bastard. Will give myself an extra day though and have folk carrying my bags.

To think I thought it would be the easiest of my challenges, turns out its the toughest by a long distance!

Aye there's no way anyone would come out of there alive trying it at night. It gets dark very quickly, plenty wee waterfalls to cross, slippy rocks to climb over and a big bastard drop into Loch Lomond should you slip.

I might be able to do this in September after the Glasgow Half Marathon. Keep me posted <ok>
