May I suggest a witty retort or an answer stating facts or examples as opposed to childish playground antics? Food for thought
I was still around on here tho. I don't always post on your match threads. I maybe was banned around the burnley game like. when I get in I have a look because Iam on my phone.
you make me laugh, a top top manager with 4 days to work with a load of dross that got 4 other managers sacked, and he will keep us up as he takes no ****, and wont pick people who will not give him 100%, he has to first see how the ****es perform before making wholesale changes
Witty retort NO Childish. ABSOLUTELY Anyway back to my 'real' children as opposed to 'cyber-bairns' !!
If he was a top manager then he wouldn't have to see how they perform first because like you said these players have got managers sack before.
prove the first point. it's pretty easy to call you clueless on this forum. or did you mean to ask 'why'? that's also easy to answer. just keep typing...
takes deep breath, and decides to try and explain in a more simple way so you can follow. 1. how does he know that the players were not trying for the manager, as he had lost the dressing room 2. he can only work with the dross he has, 3. none of these players are his choices. 4.we must not get on his back but allow him the same courtesy as Gus was shown in his first 10 matches. 5. he will not give ****e interviews to the press 6. he will appreciate the supporters indeed he already has
Was it a good performance? No, was it better than recent weeks under Poyet? Yes, I don't think that we could expect much more than that in truth, he's only had a few days to work with the players, to be fair the players all put the effort in and seemed to know their jobs and the team shape a bit better which represents an improvement. As far as individual performances are concerned Vergini at centre half was like having Nyron back there, Fletcher had another chance and put in another pretty poor performance, I think Defoe had a bad game his shooting was off and his touch let him down a couple of times but he offered plenty in terms of his movement. so far as the midfield is concerned they were as workmanlike as they have been all year Rodwell and Gomez had good games by their standard but I thought Larson had a poor game especially compared to his early season form. Couple of weeks until the next game for Dick to implement some sort of attacking tactics and we'll have the added driving force of Catts to come back in. None of the teams around us picked up points so it's not been a disastrous weekend by any stretch of imagination.
Are some people conveniently forgetting that the bulk of that team were devastated last week? What Advocaat got out of them, away from home, was remarkable. The support was excellent and the players couldn't believe how they were cheered at the end. If not for a poor decision and a late goal the mood would be entirely different.
The results to-day were a huge bonus, in fact the bottom seven all lost this weekend and we played a mid table team away, if we can win two more games, it might be enough, if Dick keeps getting this level of performance from them we should be OK.
