In the true style of the not606 knee jerk. We are going to win the friggin league now. We were awesome and the best team ever to play. Ralph in forever. That's how knee jerk reactions work eh?
Chat with the bank manager. I mean it’s a fairly sound investment if we get double the money back for him.
I wonder how long the covid players are out for. Comes down to when they tested positive Hopefully we can be careful about controlling this and not get many / any more
Really pleased we won, that was important. *****beware negative remark below**** I’m still a bit concerned about our inability to shut up shop.
I think it's natural for forums to be more busy after a defeat tbh. When we win everything is happy days and most people are broadly agreeing, whereas when we lose everyone has their own opinion on what's gone wrong and how to fix it.
We certainly at the least should be looking to extend the loan for another year and try and get that agreed prior to the season ending. I don't think Chelsea will be looking to play him but can see a club with more resources going in for him and us losing out that way. Think trying to extend loan early is our best shot of seeing more of him.
Good to hear that Redders did well, BBC public ratings weren't great for him, but then that doesn't mean a lot, I'm sure some just give him a 1 at the start and leave it at that
Everyone played well. Broja and Salisu stood out, JWP, Rom, KWP their usual selves. Elyou much better than usual. Even Walcott did enough.
No cock-ups. Solid enough. West Ham made it difficult for him at corners by getting Fornals/Antonio to obstruct him.
Fraser Forster seems to be the right goalkeeper at the right time, helping us to our first win in seven Premier League games. Ralph and the lads deserved their victory today, a real do or die Boxing Day thriller. Selecting a team for the Spurs match, tactically, won’t be too different to the West Ham game, but Ralph may have a few more options. He got his selection spot on today and I didn’t expect us to score 3 goals, so I won’t knock his next team selection. I just hope he doesn’t outsmart himself by leaving Forster and Broja out of the starting line up.
The covid situation will presumably slightly tie Ralph's hands, but I wouldn't be against Ralph resting a few on Tuesday. Next weekend is far more important, so if there is anyone who Ralph doesn't want to play in all three matches, then please let it be Tuesday which they miss. Even with an extended break before today, I wouldn't be surprised if today took a lot out of some. That was some effort. (Not that I'm totally writing off getting something against Spurs. It's hardly a trip to Anfield. But just from a pragmatic point of view, it is less important than the Newcastle match.)
Agree but I think Chelsea will recognise his potential & will prefer to see him advance further at another club. Hopefully we can get something sorted tho.
He had to do a lot of work covering for the generally out of position Tino and was up and down the pitch all game. 100% effort
