We'll beat Palace next and we will be right in the mix.

4 points off top 4 and we've played 5 of the current top 7.

Last season Liverpool Tottenham and Chelsea were awful that isn't the case this and nufc have a long season ahead.. it's only Oct and the injuries are mounting

Yeah, like Liverpool have used this opportunity to pull further ahead. Today was a good point, just slightly disappointing because it could easily have been all three.

Though I don't disagree that top four looks likely to be tougher to land this year.

Newcastle lost there 3 nowt

Anyway look its a good result i just don't think 4th will come this season a little short in squad depth.

Also some seem to be overlooking the fact that in our 8 games we've played 5 of the top 7 (I'm ignoring ourselves in that) and most of those away from home. When I look further down the league there's not many teams I'd worry about (Chelsea and Man Utd the obvious exceptions), we should be beating all of these at home and picking up points away too:

Top six this season would be fantastic.

Liverpool are gonna keep getting VAR decisions because that’s just life.

Spurs will be a good team this season. They have signed Maddison and he’s class.

Their manager is also good. He knows what he is doing.

Arsenal will be to 3.

So I reckon we will come in around 5th.

January transfer window might be interesting.

Tonali doesn’t look a 55m player. Yet.

This is interesting but really there's no easy games it's too early to look at standings especially the middle orders.

I'd say another month or two and things will clear up.

Think most people would have taken the draw before kick off and I don't think everyone is pinning all their happiness of top 4 anyway

Why ? All I'm saying is I think 4ths gone ... there's no mention of happiness .

8th is great imo ... Newcastle will keep coming

4th's gone, after 8 games? That's a shame.

This time last season we had fewer points, fewer goals and had won half the number of games. But yeah, let's just give up this year shall we.

This time last year Tottenham Liverpool and Chelsea were awful I don't see that this season.

We can all find reasons to justify our assessment at this point and I hope I'm wrong.

We'll finish around top 4.

Issue is squad depth. Their second came from an Anderson mistake.

Personally don't see what the fuss is with him.
