My first trip to Canada and the US in '74 was a brilliant experience and why I chose to leave the UK. Although I have never been to Pontins, I did experience a week at Billy Butlin's concentration camp in Filey when I was 12. Instead of SS uniforms the guards were in red or blue jackets. Actually, it was OK for a kid but I cannot imagine people of this day and age putting up with all of the marshalling and rules. Do Butlins or Pontins still exist?
That's impressive chest and facial hair for a teenager! Gotta run and get provisions for dinner - lobster vol-au-vents with orange cognac sauce for an appy, herb roasted chicken and roast veg to follow and perhaps fruit cake and port to top it off. I love to cook. Later!
