Yeah it really isn't. As daft as it sounds id bench Defoe for Ndoye and have Borini out right. How can u bench Defoe tho? Only option would be to play 3-5-2 with wingbacks , but I dont see that being an option either as I dont see where wasabi would play. Head scratcher for sure
It seems that Defoe has too much to do over 90 minutes away from home, but at the same time we are very close to being more than capable at this level, time is the enemy now, but a win against Palace will put us back on track.
Well N'Doye did absolutely nothing to change my mind that game. Borini should have started. I'd only use N'Doye if we're playing 2 up top. Otherwise he'd be on the bench for me and only come on if we're getting pegged back and resorting to long balls, at which point I'd sacrifice Defoe.
3 5 2 you cold play Yedlin Jan Mvilla PVA, with Kaz free role ahead of the four acrossthe park and have N'Doye and Defoe up front, I also would think about Larsen for Yedlin.
Think Larson is a bit slow for a WB mate, he's borderline slow for footballer haha. Still good to see him back and he always puts in a shift
Thanks for the summary Terry, sounds like this and Bournemouth could be our "what might have been" results come May. As for you and Sam I was quite enjoying the back and forth you lads had going, I love it when something escalates quickly on internet forums!
Bench defie against any former club! Not scared against any of them and had 6 chances this season and missed sitters in 4 of them! N'doye should really be up front or not playing! Borini is a far better option
I thought N'Doye was crap today, in fact i'm still waiting for a decent performance since his arrival. TBF to him i think he was asked to play a more defensive role today, i.e., track back whenever we lose the ball and that affected his game, but he offered very little going forward.
Kirchoffs on another level. Quality player and an absolute steal for us for the money we paid for him. I cant believe the amount of stick he got off some of our so called fans after his debut. We are so predictable at the moment. All the opposition needs to do is take Defoe out of the game and then were fecked. Whats all this hoofing up the field to him all about? I lost count today how many decent passes we had on today and we chose to hit a nothing ball up to him?
kirchoff was head and shoulders above all today. the less said about the rest, the better. we looked very disjointed. rodwell added some extra impetus though - shame he couldn't have scored, but at least he was on target. defoe was poor, khazri's final balls were ****ing dreadful.
Khazri had a nightmare today and that trick he done when he fell over set a few alarms off for me. We had 5 mins left on the clock 1 down and hes trying to showboat instead of putting a simple cross in?
Well look on the bright side your next game is against the worst team in the league. At home as well! WBA are ripping them a new fart pipe here, 3-0 after half an hour!
Khazri had me squirming today with all his fancy stuff. It was almost as if he was there to entertain rather than contribute. The goal against ManU has gone to his head.
not sure f that's a dig at me or not? I didn't mean it like that but he certainly has struggled against all of his former clubs. Don't think he does it on purpose but he struggles. Might be a mental thing?
