it's really about putting them on the back foot and breaking confidence before they put Son in through that no right back slot. First half it literally could be any score but we made it through.
Nunez is a whirl wind, get the ball run like ****, hit it, run again. It's great, but you need control also. With diaz, salah, nunez you have a massive amount of threat and chaos but little control
These pundits (Joe Cole, Carlton Cole) simply do not understand the rules of football. Absolute nonsense.
they are all west hammers speaking to west ham fans. simple as. they will get kudos for staying stupid ****. meanwhile we could be a genuine 5th very soon.
The handball… from reading all the comments from pundits etc thought thiago had picked the ball up and run away with it ffs. he’s half falling, arm is by his side to break his fall and player flicks ball at it from a yard away. Never handball… but then never know what is and isn’t these days. Just need to go back to the old school rules. If it’s deliberate it’s a foul. If not then no foul. Everyone can tell if it’s a deliberate handball or not as your hand/arm moved towards the ball.
3 wins on the bounce. Think this miki revival has come a bit too late, but win the next 6 and who knows. Spurs v United tomorrow. If spurs win that it’s 6 behind 4th having played 1 game more but with huge GD advantage. Just have to keep winning, keep hoping united and Newcastle drop a point here or there and hope we can go into last game of season with a chance. We also have 4 home games and only 2 away games to play. Problem is both Leicester and saints fighting for survival (albeit saints may be down by time we play them). Spurs home Fulham home Brentford home Leicester away villa home saints away No reason we can’t win all 6 of those.
I'm still hopeful of a top 4 finish. I also think if we don't manage it, it would be quite refreshing to play in the Europa. We'd definitely avoid Real and Atletico for a start.
I think it should have been a penalty under the current rules. I'd have been screaming if it had been the other way around
If we win all our games, we'll finish on 71 points. Mathematically that's third at best. Newcastle would need 12 points from seven games to equal those points; their GD is currently 7 better than ours. Man U would need 12 points from eight games, but their GD is much worse so they would realistically need 13 points. But in both cases we need them to drop points in at least three games; anytime we drop points, that increaes. Newcastle look quite in form at the moment so I don't really see it happening. Man U are a bit up and down, but we need them to be more down than up really. But all we can do is get as many points as we can and see where it takes us. It's not over til Andy Carroll sings. And I agree the Europa would at least be something different. Wouldn't mind too much if we got back in the CL the season after.
I was hoping Arsenal would prevent City from steamrollering their way to another title but all they're doing is occupying a CL place to no constructive purpose.
I'll be well pissed off if we start awarding penalties for things like that. The law is supposed to prevent deliberate handball, and if the law allows for them to be given for something purely accidental, then - as Mr. Bumble says - the law is an ass .
I thought under todays rules/guidance it wasn’t a penalty But for me it’s a pen because his arms were in the only place they could be and therefore natural position Nailed on He has stopped and controlled the ball so he can clear it Players around him in the box I would be raging if that was Utd against us
I think Diaz will move rw. I dont think its any coincidence that diaz is fit and suddenly mo is covering right back again
