You including the 2-0 win v Atletico in that or does that one not count.

I'm talking about league form. We allowed Brighton back in it last week and paid for it. This time we've allowed West Ham to bully us with the referee's help. We've been ****, no getting away from it

    Well that was awful.

We spent half the time kicking it in the air for no reason but most of all didnt want to do the real defending.

West ham tried to block every cross, tracked every run and filled space.

We ran towards the ball, left gaps, never tracked runs, never ever blocked a cross and generally looked bang average.

Fabinho passing to mane with 3 round him then runs at the ball to compound the error. Awful.

Then zouma. Nobody actually ever picked him up at all. Trent alisson watched, not even ball watching as it was quite deliberate corner put over and trent never reacts but I dont even know who was ever picking up zouma.

We will win nothing defending like this. The heart to do the business isnt there. You have to be hungry to block crosses and tack runs.

Complacency is our biggest issue, no competition for places, desperate to hang on to the good players we've got.

To many players living off performances 2 years ago.

I've said for years and I know it's not popular but matip is not good enough.

With all the crosses, why didn't we start with Origi?

Since we destroyed the mancs our form has really dipped. As if we’ve believed the hype about us being world beaters and Salah being the world’s best player. Complacency has been our worst enemy.

I had my doubts about this game. What about @sucky begging me to post an easy 4-0 nil again <whistle>

Look on the bright side, it's another international break now...

Disappointed we lost, have the international break and then back to beating Arsenal at home. Klopp won’t be happy at all with this performance, but it will be sorted for the next match

This is bang on, the hunger has gone.

There's no fight, no fire in the belly, no desire to push on that extra yard.

It's the difference between being good and the best.

It's why successful team refresh every season, bring in players to push on, to add competition, to keep the drive going.

One of our biggest plus points was our mentality, we will win, we will keep going, we are better. The moment we won the title, that evaporated.

    Errrr dunno how.

We looked ran out there at the end and frankly we need to think about the basics now. The fundamentals of shape and defense are out the window

We’ve just lost our first match, but I like to think we have a manager, and players who are vocal enough not to let this happen again.
