Most Not606 comments seem totally different to the attitude of fans at the matches.

In the case of Rosie we had a statement from the club and a comment from Steve Bruce, the day before the game, that Rosy was a doubt as he had a problem (a bit more than a niggle) - if I remember rightly we also had someone (might have been OLM) who saw him with a pronounced limp just days before - so yes, I questioned that particular occurrence.

I believe I accepted that there have been times when he might have been guilty of it (Rosie being an example) but there is no way I or anyone who follows and understands football would say it never happens for the right reasons.

What I have more explicitly argued is that the injuries to Chester and Bruce where a result of good committed football, the rub of the green. <ok>

Best summation of the situation, by far, that we've seen all week-end.

And to think we aren't in Europe, what would the situation be if we where? Fitter players, less injuries? Who knows. One thing I do know, a goal against us throws our plans and tatics right out the window, maybe a confidence I don't know. Cannot blame the manager its the players relaying the managers tatics/plans.

The players heads went down when the first goal went in. Something you usually don't condone but given the injuries and our lack of potential goals it seemed difficult to come back from.

Injuries follow him from club to club, that's a fact, why is completely speculative.

For a start players carry injuries and often do without it showing and you know it, well you should do if you actually watch games and understand what happens. Why do you need physio assessment? Because you don't know their fitness status which can have an effect on a player getting injured. Not only could a light injury lead to the injury worsening or damaging on impact, but a light injury can lead to major injury in other places. No mater how good your eyes are they can't see round corners. Fact is seeing an injury occur doesn't mean you know everything about the injury. For example an impact injury causing a tear to the gastrocnemius could have been aided by a tight inflamed hamstring. The tight hamstring can lead to a slight variation in the way a player moves(you can't see this, sports scientists cover their subjects in sensors to read this sort of information), enough to in turn force the gastrocnemius and soleus to have to behave differently, this combined with the high work rate can make much more susceptible to damage on impact or twisting.

If that response is too moronic for your doctor eyes then have a word with someone in sports science or who's suffered a sports injury and received adequate care and advice. <ok>

I watch games, I watched your game and I clearly have a better understanding of injuries than you.

Your first sentence is a tad confusing; do you know what it is you mean?

Do you know of a manager who moves from one club to another and his team is injury free? If I could be arsed I’m sure many teams can be found who suffered a bad bout of injuries, all leagues, all countries. But I can’t be arsed as it shouldn’t need proving to someone who follows and understands football. I have agreed that there has been the odd occasion when I have thought Bruce might have played someone too early, but I don’t know his options, so all I can do is raise the observation; but whatever they are, it certainly is not to the extent you are trying to develop on here. Your bitterness to Bruce shines through. (I do think he is tactically inept at times :emoticon-0105-wink: )

Of course I know players can carry injuries, many different types of injuries, but all are (should be) declared to the medical team and that injury or condition will be assessed on its own merits – play with it or don’t; it really is not a difficult process to come to terms with. Stop repeating what I wrote to try and make yourself appear more knowledgeable that us mere mortals., as it appears to be a task well beyond you.

I understand why there are physio assessments, I never said I didn’t. I simply said I didn’t need one to judge how Bruce and Chester came to be injured, I watched the game, I saw the incidents and that was sufficient – just as I posted - maybe it wasn't for you, that's fine, you get there eventually. <ok>

You obviously have difficulty in following a conversation. The rest of your needless piffle about the gastrocnemius and soleus is a red-herring as I was discussing Chester and Bruce specifically and your theory (which has merit, but is already understood) has nothing to do with a dislocated shoulder and a torn thigh muscle. Perhaps you might wish to come back with a new theory that includes brain-fever, depression and man-flu; go on, you know you want to impress us all. <laugh>

The fact that you have decided to waste your time trying to make yourself appear informed simply enforces my opinion that your follow up post and this one are indeed moronic and that’s a pity as I have sometimes supported you in the past when you have been far more reasoned. I understand sports injuries to a reasonable degree, but it has got nothing at all to do with what you keep trying to develop on here about Steve Bruce being a serial poor handler of team injuries, throughout his managerial career; save it for the Bruce boo-boys on your own board. See ya.

You come across like a right cock. I'm not sure whether that is intentional. I hope it is.

There was talk about West Ham fans booing at half time. I didn't notice it at the match or on Sky. Was it only a few people?

Of course it is. I respond in kind. If someone is going to open with comments like this

then tries to slip back on topic, you can bet your arse I'm going to be a bellend with them. An eye for an eye, a cock for a cock. He could have been sound but chose not to be and set the tone himself. <ok>

5 posts in 1, yipee. Right I'll answer you out of respect.

    1. I've not said or implied that there's other managers who keep their squad injury free, what planet are you on? But I'm not going to pretend all managers are the same, they all have different strengths and weakness, Poyet struggles to adapt his tactic, there, I said a bad thing about my manager, no big deal. He's not perfect, neither is Bruce. Like you've said about yourself there, I've only made observations, why does my opinion bother you to open our correspondence with an insult. My opinion is not a matter of fact, just what it is, an opinion. My opinion is Bruce tends to have a larger than normal injury problems from club to club, it could be his technique, he could be one of the most unlucky managers out there with injury. You don't have to agree, but you also don't have quick draw the insult because you don't either do you?

    2. Stop dumbing yourself down and I won't talk down to you. You said you saw the challenges and there was nothing that caused the injuries. I said you can't know that. Obviously I wasn't referring to the Chester injury as I've already acknowledged that it's a freak injury. Keep up. I've mentioned it on a couple of threads about the dislocation, you'd think with complaining about me being repetitive you might have took it in. <doh>

    3. Bruce did his thigh, you can't possibly know it was caused by the challange alone and didn't have contributing factors just from the challange because you don't know if there could have been contributing factors.<doh>

    4. You don't know what an example means do you?

    example
A thing characteristic of its kind or illustrating a general rule:

As an example it didn't need to be about Bruce's thigh, it's an example of an injury. EXAMPLE.<doh>
The dislocation? Already explained that move on..

5 Ha, we've hit on the same thing so why are you touchy about Bruce? Enough to insult me in your first post to me on this thread. What is reasoned about that? It's simple fella, don't treat me like a ****er and I won't treat you like one. We can just agree to disagree like normal people can't we? But you chose not to.

    Tara! <ok>
