Looks like a 4 4 2, presumably with wingers further forward in a bit of a 4 2 2 2. if Tadic and Redmond are on their correct sides then i am excited, especially with Austin starting. i see lots of crosses being put in for our two strikers with that formation.
Lanzini missing out is great news for us. As is Musuaka being thrown straight back in. I am concerned that we could be caught on the counter, and/or lose out in the middle of the park, but I would much rather see this XI from us than some (most) of the ones we were seeing under MP.
Totally agree. It’s risky but exactly the type of risk we have been pleading for. Pray Austin stays fit! Shame no Sims on bench. Would have chosen over Carrillo but small detail!
Great to see Austin back. Content with that side. Given recent events at West Ham home games you have to think that if Austin scores the crowd reaction could be VERY interesting.
Just like the Wigan game I think it will be two upfront going forward, but when out of possession Gabbiadini will drop in behind Austin. Good line up though!
Starting with Austin suggests we are going for it from the beginning....as Hughes has said he doesn't know how long he will stay on the pitch. I think a lot of people thought that he might come on towards the end.
