I've just heard Wet Sham have offered him 4 times what he is getting now and he is interested in their offer. This is from Gradel himself on the net.
but west ham reportedly offered 1m for him, they aint gonna get him for that if we were to sell him i think we would have to take full advantage of an inflated market
Wet Sham have offered 4 times what he is getting now and on a social network he has said he is interested in the offer and would be a fool to refuse it
just a donny fan stirring rubbish. I find it hard to believe wet spam will have offered him 3 times what he's on now unless he's on peanuts like 4k a week or something daft. We could afford 16k a week if we had to for Gradel.
Its all BULL ........ he will stay and run his contract down and i would sooner keep him and loose 1m he is a game changer...... worth his weight in gold and lets see what happend 1m or a chance at 40m.... YOU DECIDE !!! Its a no brainer....... Also the other fans from clubs just love the wind up....they no nothing.... Spikes not a bad guy...better than allot I feel for him...he is a Donny fan...now thats a shocking thought...get me a drink
Surely this would be an illegal move as Leeds rejected the insulting £1.5 million offer!! Clubs can talk to players with 6 months left on their contract which is around January but hopefully he will be on a new contract by then!! Think someone's just trying to wind us up!!
we have just rejected a 2.5m offer from west ham according to the yorkshirepost http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spor...fer_for_gradel_is_rejected_by_leeds_1_3575983 an interesting part of that read is that we have made an inquiry into signing Chris Herd from Villa as well
Max is a game changer and shocked us all last season with his goals contribution. However, it was 1 good season, if he won't sign an extension (that's assuming a decent one has been offered, as it certainly should have been), then personally i think we should squeeze the irons for all we can get and cash in now... Providing we reinvest the cash... some proviso i know. My first choice would be that he signs and stays but if he won't, he's just another 1 year loan signing.
Josh, just read it and another comment by the YEP was that he wasn't expected to sing a new deal. That's a worrying one so I would expect Bates to cash in now, if they come back with an improved offer
Quote from YEP on Gradel - "but with the indication being that agreement between Leeds and the player’s representative over a new deal is some way off" Now you can read into that what you like, if my glass was half full this morning I'd try and convince myself that Gradel loves Leeds so much that he wants to sign a 10 year contract whereas the club will only offer 3 years. However, my glass is definitely half empty and this quote scares the **** out of me. Rather than doing their business "behind closed doors", this all sounds very much like the club alerting the world that we're open to offers.
we finished 7th last year with a decent side. All we needed to do was strengthen the defence and we would have been ready to scare the **** out of anybody! But... when you lose Killer, Johnson, Kasper and if accepted Gradel, so what we potentially lose is 3 of our 5 man midfield that put us 2nd at xmas. If its down to money again........ well something needs to change doesn't it!!!! Im not saying that the sale of these 3 players were amazing and could make the next step. But you start to lose the core of your team and suddenly we become another team of mishapes! I remember when we had bakke in our midfield, very average at best, but made to look amazing in a quality team. If we sell our star man then who in this league can replace you 18 goals on an average wage... NOBODY!!
You know who your true hero's are when they sign without no complications................... BECCHIO WE SALUTE YOU!!
It would be disater if he left and really show what "ambitions" we have. Better off doing a beckford with him. If he helps with promotion that is worth far more than £2.5mil.... especially if we are looking to sell him to a direct rival. My money is that not even bates is greedy or stupid enough to sell him to a championship side.... but who knows.
I'd have to agree on your point about not selling him to a championship rival, but the club (can't remember if it was SG or KB or both) have gone on record saying they will not be selling our best players UNLESS we got a ridiculous offer. That sounds encouraging, but what constitutes a ridiculous offer when a player only has a year on his contract ? In Kasper's case £1million was enough to tempt us to sell even though we had no decent replacement lined up.
It's all paper talk. There's not an ounce of evidence to support any of this report. "West Ham are now considering whether to test Leedsâ resolve by increasing their offer to around the £3million mark, a figure which sources in London believe would tempt the Yorkshire side to negotiate a deal." How vague can an article get? I'll believe it when I see it.
Have we even opened contract talks with him yet? That's what is worrying. That the club have just decided that he won't sign but they haven't even offered him one yet.
