It will be tough and we really need Matip back. If not, then we need to cut out the crosses, prevent set pieces, keep the ball as much as possible and win the second balls. Not much to ask is it ...
West Ham came back from 3 nil down to get 3:3 away to Tottenham. We cannot under estimate them, they are dangerous.
i'd stick Williams in alongside Gomez if only as we need his aerial ability particularly when defending set pieces where Soucek (sp) is a real threat for WHam .
4-2-3-1 again with 2 midfielders protecting the heart of our defence and covering for the full backs. If Thiago is fit, we’ll be ok
It's going to have to be plan B ,which was our plan A the other season and that is to out score them.
He will most definitely get a chance this season. The staff love him apparently and consider him next in line. Otherwise fair play to Williams taking his chances so far
Yeah, you would expect Williams over Koumetio just through recent experience. Billy does sound like an exciting prospect though
Got to be Willliams. He's raw and doesn't yet have the ability and comfort on the ball of first team squad player, and I don't think his tackling is much to write home about, BUT I've yet to see him miss a header. His positioning is so-so too, but it's got to be him over Hendo and Windy.
If Hendo does not play CB then the choice is Phillips, Williams, or big Billy. I think he may go with Phillips as he has had more experience counting the loan in the German league.
Williams was picked for the league Cup games too. Pre season Koumetio was said to be 4th choice, but only just back from injury.
Essentially I would rather see someone play who has a future at the club. Same goes for Origi, sh!ts no longer given so I hope he doesn't play
West Ham best forward is out due to injury and it's a great loss to West Ham. They're are not going to sit back still, it will be an open game.
