If I could have any West Brom player it would be Sawyers. Imagine Bielsa flicking his switch from defence to attack and making him tick in front of Philips alongside Klich, plus ready made replacement if anything happened to Kalvin.
So much more happier with that performance than the Birmingham game, hard to pick too many holes in our display even though we only got a point, we deserved more! Brilliant performance, which convinced me even more that we are the best team in this league Positives We didn't lose. A point against our main rivals. We were the better team, even the baggies fans think we were. Defended much better as a unit than we did at St Andrews. The introduction of Bamford & Douglas changed the game. Now everyone can see why Bamford is so important to the way we are set-up Manic in the Leeds end when Paddy scored well....or so it seemed please log in to view this image Douglas actually looked an accomplished LB. Our star players were back in form. Klich & Dallas controlled the midfield. Costa & Harrison ran the baggies ragged. Kiko's saves. Ayling, White, Cooper & Phillips at the back. Eddie saying goodbye to our fans at the end of the game. Kyle Bartley taking the plaudits with Ayling arms around him with all our players as the Leeds fans chanted 'He's Leeds & he knows he is'. Negatives We deserved to win the game. Scrappy early goal conceded. Alioski is not a defender, don't want to see him as a LWB again. Nkeitah not a lone striker. Bartley's rock solid performance, save them on countless occasions. West Brom falling down like it was 'blow football'. Roberts not on the bench (injured again) we now only have 13 fit experienced first team players. Ratings 9 Casilla 8 Ayling 8 White 8 Cooper 4 Alioski 8 Phillips 9 Costa 9 Klich 8 Dallas 9 Harrison 5 Nketiah Subs 9 Bamford 8 Douglas
yeh, robson Kanu is an annoying *!&* ...they showed that angle on sky last night... should be able to take retrospective action for clear dives anywhere in the pitch.
on the tv it looked like we were the better side, certainly after the break, but we failed to really test their keeper... whereas kiko was called into action a few times. Think a draw was about right. they’re bang out of form as well... have been outplayed in their last 5/6 matches not p*ssing on your parade, but didn’t see a brilliant performance. Happy with a point though.
Shackleton’s return date has always been the Arsenal game, so not too concerned about him. And as for Roberts, do we know for sure he’s injured? He came on against Birmingham so maybe Bielsa just couldn’t find a place on the bench for him against West Brom.
Not heard that Roberts is injured again after 9 mins against Birmingham, but not in WBA squad is a worry.
Reportedly a slight hamstring niggle (strain) during the warm up and thus kept out as a precaution. I fully expect him to start against Arsenal.
Well.... one step at a time there. Let's see him play a few minutes before we think about completing a game.
