Paterson has been ‘rubbish’ all season. How he gets picked is beyond me. Tomlin should have come on at half time for him. Zahore may even have scored from that headed chance.
Very good turk. The electric in the shed is off a generator, so I know when I'm doing most of the work nothing can be live. Its only if I have to test something out there is power on. Its a pain in the arse working high (elevation, not like aber) though. Good work out for the legs. Better when there are two of us. Just step on the pallet on the pallet forks and up you go. All sorted now.
I prefer using a cherry picker myself but I still don't trust the bloody things. It's always a long way down (even when it's not )
Occasionally borrow a cherry picker cage that goes on pallet forks so I can use it off the tractor or loadall. Proper cherry pickers are fine off concrete / tarmac, but most of the time I work in the air, its off rough ground. Most of it done, though the Yorkshire board on the end needs doing and the bargeboard up to the apex. Beats doing a 'proper' job.
Hmm ... I haven't seen any in Llanelli, but then again I do my cherry picking in Brizzle which is where I'm working right now
Now this sounds a damn sight safer than standing on a freaking pallet using a forklift.... H&S would have a field day (no pun intended) if they visited the farming community as much as engineering firms
Not sure how I'd stand with H&S. Farming is a hobby for me rather than a business. The pallet forks are on a tractor or loadall, so a decent wheelbase and big wheels for the rough ground (the back wheels are on 38" rims). A pallet is around 4 foot square, so plenty of room. Sometimes just stand in the tractor bucket. Plenty of room for all the tools. Easy to get up to lop a few branches off the trees with the chain saw. Also useful for reaching the higher branches in the blackthorn when picking sloes for the gin.
