He destroyed villa, which suggests that he has the ability to destroy other relegation battlers which should mean he has the ability to keep us up.

You're right that we haven't seen him since he was injured, so he may take a while to regain his full ability.

Adkins wouldn't be drawn on whether Boruc would play or not. On being asked if he would play because of ongoing investigation into his behaviour, he replied that it was still going on but Boruc had trained with the team. Might be better if he played away from home because presumably he would have the same fans behind him at SMS next saturday.

This investigation into Boruc's behaviour seems to be taking a long time to deal with doesnt it ?
I would prefer to see either of the other goalkeepers play anyway.

Perhaps they are also looking into the fans' behaviour and, if it was very bad, locating them. Whatever, Boruc should have more self control. I bet SKD has had abuse in the past and not responded.

    One in for one out.

    Ramirez in
    Puncheon out

Other than that, same XI who started vs Spurs.

Don't care if we lose the next fifteen games...so long as Nigel keeps saying things like this, I'm never going to want to see him replaced.

I'd start with Mayuka and Ramirez (if fit) for Rodriguez and Puncheon.

Don't understand why everyone is assuming Ramirez is going to play. He's not played a game in over a month, and is going to be no where near match fit.

That's a very offensive line-up for an away game!

I think it would be harsh to drop Rodriguez, he looked sharp against Spurs and will be more confident now he's scored.

I agree - looked a real handful against Spurs

I agree with most of that bar West Brom being relegation battlers, they are a comfortable mid table if ever there was one.

One thing I'm noticing here is that everyone thinks Ramirez should play behind the striker, and therefore Lallana would be on the left. I think the last few games have shown that we don't really want Lallana on the left. I'd put Lallana in the middle, Ramirez on the left and Rodriguez on the right.

Ramirez has got to be in the middle. That is where he will maximise his influence on the game. Ramirez is better than Lallana, therefore Ramirez should be played in his best position. And Mayuka should play on the right, not Rodriguez imo.

If we are awarding starts based on merit, then Rodriguez get's the nod over Lambert for me based on the last match.

Rodriguez has always seemed to have had a bit of a rabbit in the headlights look about him, even going back to the Lieberr Memorial game, he just looked a bit scared. That seemed to have disappeared against Spurs, looked like someone had made him believe his own hype. His first touch was miles better, and he had his head up using that footballing brain you could see in use at Burnley.

We're not a one man team. If we put players in a position in which we know they're dodgy, just to accommodate one player, then we're going to pay the price. We have to toughen up the flanks.

Lot of mates to pick up, probs will end up getting there a couple hours before the game. Meal then pub before it so about right for us. Long as we play better then the Leeds game i'll be fairly happy <laugh>.
