**** pass from Hladky for 3rd goal, harsh blaming Morsy!! Watched the first goal several times and still thought it was a poor attempt to save it, even tho it was deflected.

With respect Stretchy, I cant agree. I think we can all agree that Hladky has performed really well as a deputy keeper, pulled off amazing saves and kept us in matches.
He is following KM's game plan to play & pass out of goal, which has on several occasions resulted in goals. Equally, this has caused embarrassing slip ups and let the oppo in.
However, other teams have sussed this like Lyall, and he and Morsy messed up!
Spanish & I didnt suggest we must now get Walton back between the sticks. I was commenting that for several games now we have conceded too many goals early doors, which suggests we need a different game plan from the back. We all liked Walton, especially for the way he commands his area.

What we need is Walky, a blend of Walton and Hadky!! A keeper like Walton but with Hladkys ability and calmness with the ball at his feet!!

Well it comes down to sharpness, doesn’t it. If the outfield players give the ball away easily resulting in a goal, no-one calls for them to be dropped. If the ‘keeper isn’t sharp in the save then we have this type of conversation. He has had plenty of games making exceptional stops.
Hladky is the number 1 and Walton is miles away.
I agree,Hladky has made the keeper's jersey his own through consistency in shot stopping,distribution and his footwork in tight situations.

The ref had clearly been affected by doing Premier League matches. He seemed to have forgotten that he actually had to make decisions himself when doing a Championship game. Premier League refs have become lazy because they know they don't have to make the big calls because VAR will bail them out.
I think some on here forgot how good Walton was before he got injured. Hladky is better with the ball at his feet but for me Walton is the better keeper but it's just a personal opinion

It’s interesting how opinions vary in football. My own opinion is that Walton is better with the ball at his feet but that Hladky is the better all around keeper and should keep his place
Since end of October, we are averaging two goals against every game. To me that screams out that something is not right with our defence. Hladky, i believe, doesn't instill as much confidence from the team that Walton would do. Obviously, that's a subjective feeling, and appreciate that we are now up against 30m strikers as opposed to L1 strikers last season.
Walton, last season, was arguably head and shoulders (quite literally) the best keeper in the league, and was touted as possibly one of the best keepers outside the premiership.
I don't think McK will drop him, which i think is wrong, as no player should be indispensable.

We have won a single game in the last eight. We showed what we are capable of in the second halves against Leicester and Preston. Hladky has been between the sticks all the way through our incredible first half of the season. It’s got nothing to do with the goalkeeper and everything to do with as a team not being able to pass the ball and from the Leeds game until the second half against Preston not finding the net nearly often enough.
We started to go off the boil when we were massacred by Fulham. The performance against Middlesbrough the only time we have outplayed the opposition over 90 minutes since.

I'd probably say Walton is better overall but Hladky is better with his feet and really grown into the role becoming more accomplished as a sweeper GK. Earlier in the season you could see he wasn't claiming the same balls Walton would've done and it caused a bit of hesitancy at the back. Currently I think it might do more harm than good to drop Hladky, as on the whole he's been superb and there is a risk Walton takes a while to get match fit. Defensively in the centre I don't think we've made too many mistakes, Woolfenden, Burgess and Edmundson have been pretty much faultless (note I haven't included Tuanzebe intentionally), the right hand side has been where the majority of goals have come from, Clarke has been poor positionally and with the ball getting caught out but Williams was also the same, I think whilst mistakes have been made there also might be a tactical element in it also but for me that is our biggest defensive weakness not CB or GK.
Other than that it's the risk reward game we play and I actually think Hirst missing has contributed to more of the mistakes we have seen. When we dont have an outlet upfront, someone who stretches the game, our play becomes noticeably slower and we pass it far more at the back and in midfield. Hopefully that is a problem we have now solved with the recruitment of Moore and Al-Hamadi. Just need to work on the RB spot now. Shame Donacien has been injured think he couldve tightened us up at the back.

I don't think we've been as dominant against teams as we were last season, if anything (not sure if the stats back me up) but in a fair few of the more recent games I would suggest we've had more possession than we did earlier on in the season. This links to my earlier point in terms of when we dont have an outlet like Hirst our play gets slower and more keep ball.
This could also be down to a combination of other reasons like teams having more of a game plan against us, Chaplin and Broadhead not being as on form as they were. At the start of the season actually felt we weren't dominating teams as much as the end of last season but everytime we attacked we looked dangerous and created chances carving teams open. The past month or so we might have more possession but we huff and puff and don't look quite as dangerous going forwards.
Faultless? really? Only the game just gone Edmundson's gives an OG (if he get closer to Keane instead of backing away then he would've blocked the shot)
If our CB's were better positioned, then we would give less goals away.
