Just did, now do your own laundry!

On the topic of the thread, I hope it is mainly the youth playing in this. Could give two ****s about the CC.

    Good lad <ok>

Same here tbh, our priority should be the league. If we do well in the COC cup then it's just a bonus. I'd like to see Yesil or Morgan start, as well as Assaidi and Sahin <ok>

WTF.... honeslty guys we're all over the shop. are we now believing everythign that rodgers says... he's already said that he can't win the europa due to the squad size.. having let 4 players go and carroll also for borini in... it sounds ot me like lfc fans are wirting off the cup we were dleighted to win last year.

If we are going to go down this road we'll never win anyhting cos its a defeatist attitude. I for one will be very dissappointed if we don't play a good line up midweek.

Its a first team game and one quarter of silverware available... its a chance to get a win on the board again. we simply must not throw this away

Agreed.....I want Liverpool to win every game they play in... (this is par tof the mentality Kenny brought back last season.) Success breeds success.

And we are defending the cup.......Cant understand why people dont care about this game.............

I care about the game. But I'd like to rotate to keep the squad fresh.

  8. I care about the game and I'd like to see us get a result but won't be disappointed should we lose either. I don't want to see Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Allen, Gerrard, Sterling or Suarez anywhere near the team sheet <ok>

Agreed, except Reina....he needs to play as much as possible to get back his form of previous years....Not exactly tiring being a goalie..

  10. But would playing in a reserve side (where the chances are we'll get beat) help to boost his confidence...?

    Define fresh:

    a) fit to play at 100% intensity
    b) nicely rested and can play one game per week.

I think b) is rather pointless... a) is fine if we're tlaking about a heavy fixture list but ours in not that heavy. Maybe you define it differently?

    .........................

Now to those who "don't care" or "won't be dissappointed" if we lose.

can you define this as well?

    is it:

    a) a narrow loss?
    b) kids getting beaten
    c) not even if we get mullered will i care.

Frankyl we lost 1-0 to northampton and it was game over for hodgson, dead man walking unitl finally FSG got the bottle up...... we lost what 6-2 to arsneal with a scratch side under raf and peopel went MAD...

just what kind of loss will not be dissappointing to an impressive west brom side.

It'd be interesting to know cos to me this is not a preseaosn game this is the real deal here and every game counts.

    ...................................
finally here's my summation of who could play.

I agree sterling should not play as he's young and we could knacker him very easily.

I do not agree that senior players should not play as i feel that if they can't play 2 games a week they are rather pointless and they got a damn rest v young boys. real players play twice a week... we need REAL players.

I think sahin must play, i think allen must play and i think coates must come in as well... i don't want to see carragher again and i think enrique needs to step it up.

i would play a strong as possible side with "some room" for a young player or two.. but only that.... widsom and yesil/morgan would be my thinking here. the rest should be from senior players.

I think it would be a great opportunity to see Morgan or Yesil playing as the natural CF.

  13. MITO...

I don't think people are saying they aren't bothered about winning in terms of performance, individuals, etc. It is purely based on the competition were talking about. As I said above, I don't want to see us lose and I'd love to see the reserve team get a victory but I won't be disappointed should we not progress. That doesn't mean I want to see the youngsters humiliated, it means i don't particularly see the League Cup as important. Especially considering we have Europa League games to contend with too <ok>

I know beggars can't be choosers but if we were to use our best players, play high intensity football in cup competitions, than I rather it was in the FA Cup and Europa League.

But of course, I rather we just win everything.

  16. Absolutely. My preference would be League > FA Cup > Europa League > League Cup <ok>

I would put Europa League ahead of FA Cup just because it would give us higher visibility/exposure to potential foreign signings...

The money per game in prizes is better towards the end, but the number of games involved in getting to the business end is significant, compared to getting to the FA CUp final.

I'd rate them the same - remember the FA CUp is the most-watched domestic football Cup Final in the world. Can't get a better draw other than the CL Final...

  20. I'm not convinced by that, I think the comment by StJohn_Red_Legend says it all really...
