5th round in the fa cup. My favourite game ever! 1974, 20k plus black and whites there, unbelievable atmosphere. it’s an omen! Having said that, we’ll probably get beat off Oxford.
Sheffield Wednesday vs Manchester City Reading/Cardiff vs Sheffield United Chelsea vs Shrewsbury/Liverpool West Brom vs Newcastle/Oxford United Leicester vs Coventry/Birmingham Northampton/Derby vs Manchester United Southampton/Tottenham vs Norwich Portsmouth vs Bournemouth/Arsenal
Winnable game. 50/50 chance I reckon. Although we do have a much better team man in all seriousness! Like said above, oxford’ll do us anyway. We seem to be ****e on small compact pitches.
If that draw doesn't give the players a lift and the nudge they need to get their thumbs out of their arses and put in a performance in the replay then they can all **** off....bruce included. **** it just clear the decks completely and start from scratch with £500m from our new owners.
All three teams thinking they have a chance of making the quarterfinals. But if they all go to form there will be a strong last 8.
It really feels like we are on a long cup run with all these replays. A win at Oxford and a draw at West Brom and it will be more cup games than we have played cumulatively in the last 3years.
Excellent draw, navigate past Oxford and WBA, then get Portsmouth after they beat The Arsenal, happy days. It all looks too easy right?
Shrewsbury will probably knock Liverpool out, Klopp has said he's not changing the team and bring in any first teamers, and that team looked gash on Sunday. Can see Soton knocking Spurs out. We need to get our **** together cos we've got a chance of going pretty far i this.
Shaping up to be an impossible route to the final, even with our R3/R4 lucky breaks. City, Leicester, Man U, Chelsea/Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham all in the last 8. Hell, Sheff U aren't exactly having a bad time of it, so if we somehow got through and beat West Brom, we'd be comfortably the rank outsider amongst that lot. Brucie will think it's a roaring success. Very similar to England's run to the semi-final. Don't look at the opposition.
MOTD didn’t play the introduction theme, just panned around the ground in amazement as the fans sang “ Howay the lads” for 20 mins in the second half. Unbelievable atmosphere that day.
