Only if we're wanting to make sure we've got a **** hot defence to get promoted again the following season. If we're wanting to stay up I think we'd be better off looking for someone with more top flight experience (I'm about to be made to look a tit by someone saying he played 6 years in the PL earlier in his career or something) to guide the younger defenders we've got. At the moment McShane is the only CB we have with PL experience that's likely to have a contract with us next season.
Yeah, but have you seen some of the defending at the bottom of the PL? Do you want to sign the likes of Titus Bramble, or anyone who's ever been anywhere near Reading's back 4? Attacking-wise it's far superior as a league, but I'm not convinced about the defences. At the risk of sounding arrogant, you could do a lot worse than our Wes. Personally I'm going to kidnap him if he ever looks like leaving Leicester, he looked utterly devastated when he was sitting in the stands.
If one of our other defenders had played a season or two in the PL I'd be quite happy to bring Morgan in. I just think you need someone who's used to playing against the top strikers and knows the kind of tricks they use so they can pass on the benefit of that experience. This level and below a stupid little outside of the foot flick around the defender when a pass comes in to you is about the sneakiest you get from strikers.
By far the most stupid thing you have ever said I'd pay 3/4million for him and him alone could change the current lufc team
