Just remind me arsenal fans how many times after an Arsenal player has ben sent off, has Arsene Wenger openly admitted that he has seen the incident, and that the player deserved to be sent off. the answer would be never, because his stock in trade answer is "I never saw what happened", if he never saw what happened what was he doing falling a sleep.

PNEawf:- that's what i have been saying about bringing in wage caps but this has to be done across the whole of Europe. As I have been informed this would be illegal, therefore if wage caps are illegal then surely the rule which UEFA wants to bring in regarding FFPR is also illegal. The EEC hasn't got a rule that restricts businesses in the EEC of trading if they make losses, so how can UEFA bring in such a rule.

as previously stated, the rule CAN be brought in because it doesn't relate to the league. It relates to a competition that teams are INVITED to take part in. Just because the competition is extremely lucrative doesn't make it any less of an invite-only competition.

City are welcome to keep spending, and keep winning the Premiership, but they won't get to compete in the Champions League if they do so. The rules don't break any European laws, at all, so they will come in, and they will be upheld.

PNEawf I have been saying for yrs that their should be a wage cap across the whole of European football, but everyone keeps reminding me that that would be illegal, and totally against EEC laws. All I have to say is, that if bringing in a wage cap is illegal, then the argument that UEFA want to bring in FFPR, would also be against EEC law. To say a club can't compete in a European Comp because they are spending more then they recieve in takings, the argument should then also be that if clubs are in the red they to should also be barred from entering Champions League and the Europa League. The rule should be that all clubs who want to take part in any European Comp must be in the black and not in the red.

This Spud is just bitter and affronted because I dared to comment on a cross board article about Adebayor joining Spurs. Quite a sad individual.
