Kitch as I said just wanted to have a rant. Had just watched his interview last night and he winds me right up! On another thread have just seen a Reading fan calling Nigel smug and irritating. I suppose there is no accounting for taste!
I suppose when you've got a manager as passionless and uninteresting as McDermott, anyone that shows any kind of emotion is going to be seen as smug.
I like Brian, I think he's done a fantastic job, & although he doesn't seem to get excited by jumping about & playing the media game, I think your find he's a very passionate individual.
Don't get me wrong HR, I like the guy. I think he's done a fantastic job over the last couple of years but you never see him get excited or pumped up. I prefer a manager to show a little bit of emotion like Our Nige.
Maybe in private he's a more passionate person, and maybe the calm exterior is the reason why Reading have done so well.
