As much as I like Wenger as a manager, I have to say that I think these polls or whatever are a popularity contest and nothing more. Not really worth a lot. If he goes on to win a CL or another PL title in the next year or two, there will be no debate. If he wins nothing more, then this is hardly going to count for anything.
He won manager of the last decade so its no suprise that after adding no trophies in the last few seasons he has dropped a couple of places. If now that we are in a better financial position Wenger pushes on and wins a few more trophies,maybe a league title or a CL before he leaves Arsenal, the trophyless years will be forgotten and as a whole his tenure will look fantastic.
Eh? There's still over 85 years left of the 21st century....how the f**k do we know who the best in the 21st century is? Surely should be described with the massive caveat SO FAR. Or even better just say of the last decade or so. If the last 13 years is a measure than, as much as I like the man and he has done brilliantly to keep us near the top, unfortunately Wenger hasn't won anything for more than half that period.
