Have you got anything to say about Arsene Wenger signing a new contract or you just going to post drivel ?
http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...you-banned-from-and-why?p=5340281#post5340281 Perhaps this might shed some light on the matter. Make his wish come true please. Anyway back on topic. Wenger's contract is up at the end of this season. I expect it's too early in the season to be making predictions, we'll want to see where we're going first before engaging in any contract talks.
Its funny you put it like that but the reality is Wenger does'nt want to discuss it until he decides wether he wants to carry on or not. I'm pretty sure the board would nail him down to a new contract immediately if they could.
only that if you win nothing again and reach no finals apart for say the CL, then this actually may be the year Wenger and arsenal part (gracefully ) but then again I've thought that every season for 4yrs now. you won't sack him if it is time up, it'll more be a case of him stepping away or a mutual parting as there's too much respect between the club and wenger for any messy departure and rightly so too. I'd personally like to know what your feelings may be should you win nothing and he is offered a new contract?
personally if I was a gooner I'd be in that line of thinking too but then I work with a fair few arsenal fan's (all twats obviously) and half of them ran out of patience the transfer window before the one just gone. I'd keep like you if clear progression is shown, but if not, again, then I'd would guess I'd want him replaced, and I only say that thinking back to benitez and eventually wanting him gone. obviously completely different circumstances but yaknow.
Yeah we spoke about it, it turned out I wasn't attempting to wum and cym explained a fair and reasonable explanation as to why he closed it. So it's all good, and no hard feelings
He might be doing this to motivate the players, put pressure on their asses, the ones who want him to badly stay, like Wilshere, well if you want him to stay, you guys going to have to deliver on the pitch. :-D, 3rd place, FA cup trophy, and make it to the last 8 of Europe, and I'll be content for Wenger to carry on. That for me is the bare minimum, I want a trophy this season.
He should now be judged purely on performance now. We've gone past our financial restriction and now have a large budget to work with. We have a good core of players, with good English talent and now signed up one of the best players in the world. I really want him to buy in Jan so he has a more deeper squad to pick from, but ultimately they bought little in the summer and it's up to them to use the players they have. They need to make significant progress from last season, meaning getting 2nd-3rd position in the league and winning or coming very close to winning a cup. This season is the best it's ever been for some time for Wenger to make progress in the league. We have 3 new managers, no Fergie and Spurs has a completely new team. We should comfortably make Champs league this year.
