Arshavin made some good efforts at the end of the season. His defense against Man U won the match: he's shown the ability to be a two way player. Personally, I would like to see Arsenal bring in another traditional winger a la Walcott to widen the field even more with Walcott on the other side. However, if Wenger still prefers to employ inside-out wingers who cut inside to attack, who can he get with a better skill set than Arshavin? I think all agree AA's problem has been consistency.

But isn't getting the best out of the players Wenger's job? Instead of bringing in another player, maybe it should be on Wenger's shoulders to inspire AA. It was only last season that AA looked a better player.

Ps. I support Wenger. I just find this to be a strange/ hard situation.

Pss. I feel that I should also post a suggestion for replacing AA if that is the case at least for the sake of a talking point. Who remembers Landon Donovan's spell at Everton? He's an intelligent, fast winger who's not afraid to attack goal OR CROSS the ball. I feel that since no other Yank has cracked into a top 4 club, he could be persuaded to come to Arsenal at a reasonable price.

Landon Donavon looks like one of those cocks from 'The Big Bang Theory' and for that reason; I'm out.

I still think we should keep AA. He might be a lazy **** at times, but he still has the ability to turn a game in an instant.

I don't think we can afford luxary players anymore. He hasn't proven he can come off the bench and turn a game so I think now is the best time for him to move on.

Super Injunction has a point. Arshavin makes up for his lack of a work rate by producing bits of genius, but if he isn't doing that regularly (as he hasn't been) then what does he have to offer?
