The Mail story made the link that he wanted to join City becuase he wanted to win trophies, they were playing on the Nasri comments. In the actual interview, RVP spoke about his passion and commitment for Arsenal in the same breath as wanting to win trophies. There is no 100% concrete proof either way, but most people reading the stories would realistically surmise that RVP was stating his commitment to Arsenal , whilst the Mail were making a spurious link. Thus I'm not saying that any article that anyone else cites is, rubbish and any that I cite are conclusive proof, that is your assumption. I'm saying that in the above example, there was a clear difference between truth and fiction. So there is no hypocrisy. I'm also saying that applying the same logic. If two news sources come out and say that the delay in the paperwork for the Henry deal is down to the Red Bulls then it's more likely to have credence, than your assertion that it was down to the 'shambles' of Arsenal's admin team. It's clear you don't agree, so why don't we just leave it at that?
Unfortunatley Jayram, your link to the Metro highlights the fact that they got the story from the Mail, Read more: http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/882991...d-for-arsenals-robin-van-persie#ixzz1ibJniPOk the same source that was held up as being suspect and spurious. So what have we learned? (1) The delay is down to the Red Bulls ? (2) The delay is down to Arsenal's 'shambles' of an admin team ?
neither - we have learned that AFC has not struck the deal for possible use of Henry 2 games ago, and may not be able to keep his services for the game against Tottenham, if and when we do sign him..
Fair enough, you're entitled to your opinion. I might not agree with it, as you probably feel the same with mine. How about we leave it at that and move on ? - I think we've taken up enough space and time on this topic.
This is nothing new Jayram. Just like back in the summer when Arsenal should have known it needed to buy and buy early so as to get the team to gel together. But no, these are the days of last minute dot com. Martha Lane Fox is such a visionary. Back then I just wasn't expecting it to be applied to our beloved club but there you are.
