on a serious note -- i have alot of time for wenger and believe he deserves better than arsenal , unless the board change there spending policy that is presuming they have real money to spend in the first place i can see arsenal continuing like this for a few more yrs --

I suspect he means compete for the title and getting back into the CL. Its not a financial disaster, but it would be a disaster in terms of persoel in my view.

Trophies have little to do with the mood of most Arsenal fans, we want to see investment in our squad, desire and progress. If we don't win trophies we don't win .. but at least nobody can be accused of not trying.
