I was always of the opinion that he is young and would develop but when you take into account how long he has been the No.1 and how many games he’s played I’m beginning to doubt that he will ever get much better. It’s difficult not to notice that when we keep clean sheets we keep the opposition well away from our box and restrict them to very few (if any) shots on target. When they do hit the target they invariably go in. As someone said if we had either of Sheff U or Burnley’s keeper we’d be home and hosed.
I’d say you’re stuck with him lads. If promoted there will be about ten more urgent signings in the summer than the keeper. Not saying he doesn’t need replacing but I can’t see it
Normally agree with you on many things but not on this. Whether we go up or not, everything starts from a firm foundation and he simply isn’t good enough. Why can’t we shake the other two off? Because their keepers keep them in games they’ve no right to win and then score on there break, job done. We on the other hand consistently concede from the first effort on target against us. Like I said in the match day thread, it’s too often to now chalk that up to bad luck.
Can’t argue with that. Just hope fans can get behind him at games as he seems very much a. Confidence player. We need him at his very best for next eight weeks whatever that may turn out To be
