What "inconvenience" ?? Only that doing a reverse would give them 3 consecutive away PL games in April, which is right at the business end of the season. Spurs OTOH would have a similar scenario but in October. I would have more sympathy if Citeh tell us the precise nature of the "inconvenience" .
Libby's words not mine. I don't see the inconvenience either. They'll have the league sown up by Feb, who cares how many away games they have at the end.

10,000 People Sign Petition For Tottenham To Be Deducted Points http://www.sportbible.com/football/...-for-tottenham-to-be-deducted-points-20180821 How bitter/jealous/idiotic/infantile some fans can be.
Let me put it this way: the person who started the poll was Mr D(eluded)T(wat) The fact he's asking for the government to intervene, blissfully ignorant that the government doesn't have the power to deduct points (and if they did, FIFA would boot England from the Euro 2020 qualifiers on the spot) says just how intelligent the droning berk is.
Tbf they’ve played City and Chelsea and we’ve played Newcastle and Fulham though. Too early to be looking at gaps.
Come on,have a little faith. They're not getting anywhere near us this season or next. Even a no mark like Aaron Ramsey thinks he can do better......If they finish 6th, they'll have had a good season.
Really feeling the love from our neighbours regarding Spurs efforts to build a big stadium with great supporter atmosphere.
Don’t get me wrong I think we will finish above them, but I expect them to improve. I think the top six will be the same as usual. Everton still don’t overly impress me even though they’ve spent big again.
I kinda hope the petition gets the 100k. I'd like to see what Theresa May has to say in the commons about it
They have to improve or they will be in a relegation battle. Big match for them on Saturday, lose against the Spammers and there will be 'bring Arsene back' banners appearing.
I'm not impressed by their defensive signings. The goalkeeper, Leno, has a mistake in him. I've been watching a fair bit of German league football for the last couple of years, it comes with the BT Sport package, and I wouldn't want him at Spurs. No top sides have been interested in him for a number of years because of his inconsistency. The fact that they've started the season with Cech, despite being terrible with the ball at his feet, tells you everything about him. He looks like a Liverpool goalkeeper. Sokratis is slow.........well, he's actually sloooooow. Even with the game in front of him, he's not top notch. Pair him with the car crash that is Mustafi and it ain't good enough. Not by a long stretch. Unless Koscielny comes back properly fit, there's a BIG problem there. None of the full backs are great. Monreal was decent but age is catching up with him, which is going to apply even more to Lichsteiner. Improvements to the centre of midfield and getting the strikers to run without the ball (Ozil excepted) can mask those problems but they won't solve them. Last season, I saw Everton struggling, even as they were wasting the Lukaku money. This season, I see a much better unit under a decent manager. I think that they'll run Arsenal close.
Yeah I watched a fair bit of Leno too. Excellent penalty stopper but never looked that good outside of that.
I'm nicking this from another site as I restrict my TalkSHITE exposure and it doesn't include Jim White...... ....a source at Tottenham told Jim White that they knew nothing about the issue with the safety systems until recently. There is a meeting today with Mace, after which they will know more about when it can be resolved and be able to hold the first game. The systems in question were installed some 18 months ago and were not tested properly until recently. Stadium cost is £400-450m, but with all the rest of this stage of development, it's closer to the £800m figure (hotel, Tottenham Experience, etc). 3800 people are working day and night. Given that they have very little love for Spurs and will do pretty much anything to ramp up a story, there's a chance that it's close to the truth. At least, the figures on the actual stadium build are in the right ball park.
The bit I would question is the The systems in question were installed some 18 months ago and were not tested properly until recently. The build had barely started.
There's been previous suggestions that there's a software related problem and it could be some incompatibility between earlier works and that software? That could make sense but it's all conjecture and as likely to be incorrect as anything else. I've seen claims that the wrong plasterboard has been fitted and myriad other 'explanations'. I'll believe what the club say, as and when they do. Any derogation from the facts would badly affect credibility in later litigation. All theories of cover ups are complete bollocks. I would expect some official news fairly soon.
