From a young relative in Cardiff (S/T holder) it appears there is talk of people applying for season tickets via direct debit, getting the final tickets and then canceling the direct debits, anyone closer to 'home' know if there's any truth to this.

with success there will always be people who jump on the bandwagon, the club cant please everyone, i've renewed for next season earlier than i usually would to ensure i get the tickets, these people are exploiting a loophole that the club has allowed, so although extremely annoying, you've got to blame the club if anyone

Just to get a Wembley ticket is pathetic, if they have registered for next season via the Zebrra Finance scheme as we have done then I thought there was a penalty clause for cancelling anyway - i think there was last year.
Anyway for me they are not true supporters. From this next of the woods we have travelled this season alone over 10000 miles to watch Cardiff play both home and away and when you take into account all our games are away due to the distance we travel then I have no time for these individuals.
Lets hope something is done about this but what I do not know.

I agree with Swamp... Demand will always outweigh supply on occasions like this and if there is a loop hole, people will take advantage of it... Doesn't make it right but there it is.

The club are only concerned about selling the full allocation for Wembley... which they will. Whether it's to so called "plastics", "new fans", "the bloke I sit next to in work who doesn't go to games but wouldn't mind going to Wembley" or whoever is irrelevant to them imo.
I don't have a ST so didn't really expect to get a ticket. What pissed me off is the implication from certain quarters (even from some within the club that non ST's are not as loyal as ST's ).... but hey, fk them...I'm over that and have made alternative arrangements for Cup Final day

It's not that impressive. When you live in Milford, it's 80 miles before you get to civilisation passing a small village on the way - and then you've got to get back past them and Max Boyce.
Come to think of it, that is mighty impressive - you should have a bravery award..........
There's a 14 day cooling off period from the date you signed the contract after that i'm pretty sure you have to pay the full amount plus interest for any missed payments etc.
Although you could cancel the direct debit with the bank then it would be up to Zebra finance to chase the debt.

We have loads of bona fide ST holders now, i think it is also a case of the club being a bit greedy in taking new orders, i would only sell tickets to those who are current holders, once we have got our tickets then give people the opportunity to buy new ST's. Its not rocket science to find these scumbags.

When you give any organisation eg Cardiff City FC your bank details they set up a mandate and claim payments from your bank. If you cancel the direct debit, say after the Final, it will have no effect as they can simply reinstate a new direct debit mandate and claim further payments. Before you ask, No they would not be doing anything illegal in setting up a new mandate either. This is why company's like setting up direct debits in the first place and also why they don't volunteer this information to the consumer.
Of course you genuine fans don't need to worry as you support your team no matter what but the plastics will be in for a nasty shock.

Hi Dilligaf, always a welcome for sensible posters lol, to be fair I think it's going to be a very small minority that try it on, a bit of a catch 22 situation for the club really
Cheers Sussex, personally I think it's funny that it's the plastics that will be caught out if they try this little scam. By doing it this way Cardiff City are simply ensuring that no one can pull a fast one and it makes perfect business sense. Genuine fans will not be affected as they go to all the games anyway.

If the organisation in question wishes to reinstate then they can. The only way to stop them is to close the account down and open a new one. If you don't believe me ask at your bank and they'll confirm it
