I was sat on the sofa watching it having had a knee op 2 days prior. I did however get extremely drunk
At the game, went ****ing nuts then got battered. Had all my family staying with me in London so we had a proper celebration!
Was at Wembley. Stayed with my mate at his gaff in White City on the Friday and soaked up the atmosphere on the Saturday before one of the best days of my life transformed before my eyes. Many a shandy in Covent Garden which was full of rather complimentary Leeds fans and flew back to Amsterdam Sunday after watching the Donny Leeds play off final.
Had just got back off an overseas det so was too late to get a ticket so watched it at home on Sky, got slightly pissed, and removed all the skin from my knees when I slid, quite impressively, across the carpet while wearing shorts. The wife was not impressed.

Was at Wembley on that great day. Everything about the day will live long in the memory. Getting up at 6-30 in the morning for a minibus taking about 15 of us down to London. Stopping at the services on the M1 to be greeted by hundreds of city fans and making lots of noise in the service stations and really getting the party started. The walk up Wembley way then into the famous ground itself with all the excitement building inside of me. Then there was the match. Jubiliation when Deano scored, hearts in mouths at times in the second half but we held out for the win and i've never known such relief and sheer happiness at the end of a football match. Not ashamed to say there were tears of happiness after the game, a game I never expected to see City play in when I first went to Boothferry Park in 1999. The trip back up North was just one big party, and had a few beers that night to celebrate. Woke up the next morning and thought i'd dreamt the bloody thing, until I picked up the Sunday papers and the grin wasn't wiped off my face for a good few days!
Sat opposite the away dug out at Wembley. (well it would be the away dug out if it was at KC, I sat in almost the same position as my season ticket despite it being a different ground) Best memory outside of the game was getting off the train and seeing thousands of City fans, thats when it kicked in how amazing we are. Still the highest attendance for a playoff final isn't it?
I woke up that day as a Grimsby Town fan. Then I watched Hull FC vs. Bristol in the play-off match at Wembley on the TV and thought, holy ****, I'm jumping on this bandwagon. I've been a loyal supporter ever since. Well, until Hull FC got relegated. Then I supported Blackpool and now I've moved on to Swansea. Come on you Swans.
After last night's giant-killing (despite a blatant handball) are you not gonna go back to supporting Grimsby
Travelled down in a limo, memory very blurred due to numerous bottles of champagne being drunk! There were none left for the journey back home so we had to raid the local Tesco near Wembley and purchased about 20 bottles of Cava!
I was at wembley in the Bristol city end! Apart from the obvious goal, my favourite memory of the day was the tube station full of singing Hull fans and the platform/train announcer welcoming the Hull fans to the capital.
I couldn't go due to work commitments, all my family was there apart from me, this thread makes me very sad but I did manage to watch the game live and will never forget it!
I was in Vancouver - got up at about 7.00 am to watch it on a pretty good internet stream. The rest of my family were at Wembley and keeping me updated with frequent text messages. I'd have loved to be there with them but, after years watching City usually fall just short of real success, would have probably jinxed them so maybe a blessing in disguise. Great day though nonetheless.
About to take Kids to Eurodisney so forced to be at home with game on tv at high volume. Blubbed at the end and still find it difficult to choke back the emotion everytime I watch Deano's volley fly in and then the final whistle..............i'm going to blub again now just writing about it!
