If the welsh clubs lying their trade within England formed a breakaway 'welsh premier league', what do you think the final league table would look like. I'll go with

1. Cardiff
2. Swansea
3. TNS
4.Bangor
5. Shrewsbury
6. Wrexham

what do you all think ??

and silly me thought shrewsbury was englands premier town but let us play along.

cardiff, swansea, tns, hereford, chester, shrewsbury, newport, bangor, wrexham, merthyr tydfel, welshpool, towyn and aberystwyth

in the second division, borth, fairbourne, llwyngwril, ludlow zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Nice one atcham!!!!

Perhaps Geography should be compulsory in the new o-levels OR Shrewsbury should be the capital of Wales!

during the 2nd world war, shrewsbury was the unofficial capital of wales as it was the easiest access for the meeting of north, south and mid wales. still is

in the 16th century wales was ruled from ludlow castle, still should be!

i reckon ludlow town fc could give wrecscum and newport a decent game, perhaps also the shrews on one of their scunny days! fs

You forgot Bristol Rovers in the second division

At least Shrewsbury supply the away support with a modicum of undercover comfort. That is unlike Gillingham which has an exposed to the elements Meccano stand-the worst in the French league.

apart from early incursions from llewyllin the great and owain glyndywr, shrewsbury has for long been the capital of the english couny of shropshire. and shrewsbury for 200 years in the middle ages was the seat of english governments when successive kings in the medieval period kept their court in shrewsbury. indeed it was henry the 8th who created a bishoprick in shrewsbury and issue a charter to be a city. the town burgesses turned this down and said they would prefer to be englands premier borough and the fairst of them all.

the fairest of them all have been dishing out fairplay football ever since. floreat salopia!

now tellme what did tinned nuts solutions ever achieve? was it rust? i think we should be told!

woah who mentioned gillingham here ? if we are on the subject of grounds then yours isnt the best example. how do you minnows feel that your entire ground is smaller than the kop at hillsborough ? humiliated ?

panic not owain glyndwyr is on the case to dispatch our irritant. i advise all to avoid welsh bara bridd and cawl over the coming week!

.....Harlescott Hotspur!!!!
.....Ditherington Divers????
.....Frankwell Forrest!!!!!
.....Haughmond North End!!!!!

sorry i was not advocating the name of opponents but an historic name for shrewsbury and their reserve team. i agree with your selection of opposition though and would add bayston hill rollers, coton hill utd and kingsland old boys
