What makes me laugh is that Hilts24 said on their forum recently that next season with some decent signings they'd get auto because "none of the teams coming down are a threat".

Imo any of the current bottom 5 in the Prem would beat Cardiff at a canter. They just don't get it. They really aren't that good. The Brizzle game was awful. Two really bad teams. Also, it's one thing to get promotion but it's a major achievement to stay there with largely the same team that took you there. Swamp was saying we had 'Championship standard players'. We don't. Not any more. Blackpool did and that's why they couldn't maintain it.

    Just an opinion.

yes i agree with that, i cant see cardiff as good as any of the bottom clubs in the premiership yet, Its only MM's first season and he has done quite well so far but premiership is a step to far this season for them....

i went on to explain that the players you have this season are mostly players who didnt jump out at you as saying they'd be mid table PL players during the previous championship campaign, thats good coaching and management to you. remember its not as if you were top 6 for 3 years in the championship, you were mid table 2 years then jumped up to 3rd, players like williams, gower etc who had a lower league background.

they have now made the step up and become PL players.

norwich are the same, very little, if any PL experience but due to coaching and tactics they are a team who perform above their collective individual ability, thats a compliment, and i believe manager of the year should go to either rodgers or lambert for this reason.

It's OK Swamp. I didn't take it as an insult. <ok>

That said, nobody can say Williams, Rangel, Allen and company aren't Prem class individually because they certainly are. Most of us had doubts at the start of the season but in reality only a few haven't stepped up, and in one case hasn't been given the opportunity to step up.

agree with manager of the year should go to rodgers or lambert. both young and keen and will both go to big clubs in the future............probably lambert to the swans and rodgers to norwich...<laugh> no only kidding but both deserve every bit of praise this season...for me without being bias and you know me i say it as it is but i would say rodgers deserves it just that little bit more......just my opinion

if you judge it purely on this season alone, it goes to rodgers, however, personally i'd give it to lambert because he got norwich back to back promotions, and its not as if they were in the top 6 of league 1 when he came either, i believe they were in the bottom half. so in a sense if he got it, it would be a culmination of an unbelievable 3 years of management for lambert.

i've read newspapers and some have put good arguments in, henry winter said rodgers deserves it because of the style of play, norwich more direct and use quality delivery in to the box.

either would be a good choice but lambert shades it for me because of how far he's driven norwich forwards <ok>

Point is swamp that we are a TEAM, its the whole thing not the induvidual players, we finished 8th ,7th and 3rd if i remember correctly, progress each year as our system of play and team work improved.

fair comment swamp. lambert has been a revalation for norwich but i think rodgers is a better all round manager and will go further than lambert in their careers......If lambert was chosen then i for one wont complain.....

Lambert is a decent manager for sure and Rodgers far from perfect but I agree with the style comment. I'm not a massive fan of the way the Canaries play (yes they always take offence when I say this but I don't care). Diagonal cross into the box - Holt. Diagonal cross into the box - Morison. I know there's a bit more to them than that but lumping it up to pie munchers like Holt isn't the way I'd like to see us play even if it is effective.

For that reason alone I'd really like us to finish above them. Tactically, Rodgers was out-thought by Lambert in both fixtures but that doesn't mean to say he's the better manager overall. The final table will tell, and if they finish above us Lambert will probably deserve the award as you can't argue with the table.

If you take away the 6 pts they took off us then they are quite a few places behind, they have done fantastic just like us,i thought they would do ok this year but i think we have the edge overall, people forget that their playing budget is far higher than ours even though we get compared as being of equal stature, they have a far bigger turnover and can spend more on wages, securing targets is easier for them than it is for us, so if it came down to Lambert or Rodgers then buck gets the award IMO<ok>

Well if you take away the 6 points we took off West Brom then we'd be quite a few places behind them. Isn't that a non-argument?
