I think we already have that policy in place VETCH, playing local pre season games against the likes of port talbot, llannelli, neath etc is more than most teams do, those games are played to fill the coffers of these clubs and they do very well with the attendence tea, coffee, burgers etc. It would be nice to give these teams more i agree but at the same time i think the fact we tailor our pre season to include these matches shows we do alot more than most pro clubs
As the great Dionne Warwick once sang,I'm "Wishin' and Hopin' !!! However, being completely devoid of ANY sense of humour,he will not make an appearance. A bit like his team tonight. You couldn't this up,even if you wanted to !!!!
I was thinking that perhaps more teams could get a little payday, whereas the present system only seems to benefit a few teams. I am in no way criticising the Club for what they already do,by the way.
They are a very wound up and sensitive lot over there Well balanced people though...they have a chip on both shoulders!! Remember when the old 606 would be crawling with bloobs on our board giving it large?you couldnt say anything withthere being about a hundred bloob comments, i honestly think they have been given plenty of respect for their plight by the jacks, we havent rubbed their noses in it half as much as they would have done. It becomes an issue nowadays if you say anything other than what they want to hear they are the Basil fawlty of the message boards "Dont mention the war!! i think i got away with it once..... "
You're wrong Norway, it's not a chip on the shoulders it's more like bloody boulders. Sod them anyway who cares what they think. Most of them are tossers who wanted us to get mullered week in week out and get less points than Derby did. Every football fan who is actually a fan of football praise us for the way we try to play the game. There have been fans of too many clubs to mention coming on our board to say they love the way we play. The lower league rabble from down the road however are a notable exception. Well let the buggers carry on watching hoofball, if we played them tomorrow we would hammer them and they know it. We've left them in out trail, time to move on and leave them to their own devices.
Poor relations Vetch, the only league they can top is the hooligan hall of shame. Not surprising given some of the reptiles that follow them.
I hope they are able to hold off the challenge from Leeds, who are looking meaner than ever. If Cardiff can hold on to the top spot,at least their season won't have been a complete washout.
Yes i agree Dilligaf, They are more spewing of us going up than we would have been if it was them, very Brains bitter indeed
Being the Capital City team.they assumed they would go up before us. It really is very difficult for them. Headless chickens spring to mind. The longer we stay up,and they don't make it,the more insane they will become.
Personally, apart from the cup final when their defence played amazing they seem to be a typical no frills ccc team, nothing special, hard working, play % football and having the odd bit of skill from whits or miller . The scary thing is that their squad is getting more average and their debts and running costs are going up! the sliding scale od disaster looms unless they get promoted, even then we all know they will be throwing around money like its going out of fashion, a basket case of a club, the only way forward is to copy the swansea model and go back to the start, they will never admit it but they all know it !! Very Brains bitter about us being loved by all, they are like a jealous ugly sister with a smelly fanny
I saw their game against Drizzle on Saturday. It was dire, we would have beaten them both at the same time
same old cardiff.....get to the buisiness end of the season and they go to pieces.....should not have let DJ go as he was due a win when you take into account the law of averages and all that.....no derby match again then....never mind eh..
I agree with most on here and that we shouldnt go it to it at all. I would rather get into Europe through the Fair Play League rather than a welsh cup, especially if we have to give up entry to the FA Cup and League Cup (however pointless one may be) I could see the attraction....no cup games to worry about injuries, you could play the kids and reserves rather that some first teamers, but then where would some of the reserves get game time and im guessing the youths wont develop much playing against the other lower teams in the Welsh Cup. But to be honest if we all went back in there it would be like the Spanish and Scottish cups where the same two teams play in the final almost every year and Im sure that everyone on this board would agree with me that I dont fancy playing Newport in the Final every year
From a Hull fan at the game tonight "To Cardiff fans you really ought to get in touch with the club about all the 14/15/16 year olds next to the away fans, they are a really embarrassing representation of your fans with their repetitive unimaginitive songs and chav like behaviour. Saying that though it was incredibly funny watching a large group of the kids singing nothing else but "your support is ****ing ****" all game long then leave at 75-80 minutes! ******s! " Better keep these guys away from Europe altogether, they will end up getting everyone in Wales banned from football competitions !!
we would not play first teamers anyway except coming back from injury, we would play the up and coming players who can cut their teeth in proper competitive games, i would not mind entering a swans side to the LOW
