No coach in the world could have come in and changed things for the better with the crap that was left, that is the reality, just not your reality.
What position were we in when LJ left?? SL pulled the plug along with you haters.. Had he not.............................................................who knows!!!
Steve Lansdown 's own words, LJ failed, stop dreaming. * "I'm very sad, as much as he is an employee of myself, I've known him a long, long time as a player here and the last four and a half years as a manager," he explained, on the decision to part company with Johnson. * "When it comes to the crunch, he hasn't got us over the line and we felt it was time to make the move, to make a change for someone who can help us make that next step. * "We felt if we were going to make a change we should start now, bring a breath of fresh air into the club, everyone was on a downer. No ones fault except his own.
Utter nonsense, LJ would have gone much earlier had crowds still been allowed in. The only truth is SL pulled the plug and why?, because he would never have pulled the plug on his favourite son Mark Ashton and that is totally down to little Lee allowing that to happen. Yeah who knows indeed, probably even more ****ty signings. He had 4 years and could not deliver consistency and left us with a pile of overpaid pussies. The stats prove that we are improving as a TEAM, something that you champion, but are being undone by individual mistakes. PS:- Haters my arse, his time had come to an end, the fans had nothing to do with his being sacked. When Pearson eventually leaves either by sacking or his decision, it will be down to doing it his way, not doing it Ashton's way and carrying the can.
Both parts of this statement are true, but you and RedPrintt only ever focus on the last part of this statement, that is my issue in the LJ debate. I am not a luvee, I think he shouldn't have been appointed, and I think he should have been sacked during our poor run, but equally, I recognise on the whole he did a good job. Let's if Pearson is capable to get us to the next level, and I'll wager now that if he doesn't he won't cop for half the criticism of LJ. And NP has set himself a long enough target to be able to do this.. let's see if he is ridiculed endlessly if we are not challenging for promotion in 3 seasons time!
That is not fact, just your opinion, something you love to pull others up on! So really you're saying this is the fault of SL who empowered Ashton to run roughshod over everything at BCFC? Which I agree with, the MA issue is all on SL, not LJ. SL is not being held accountable by many on here, as they are making lJ and MA the sacpegoats
My opinion was in response to somebody else's 'fact' that was actually opinion, that's what happens when you open Pandora's box. Well that is what I have said consistently, SL is ultimately too blame, however LJ knew the score when he signed the 4 year contract in 2019, so must have been happy with his place in the grand scheme of things. SL reacted to what happened with Cotterill by not allowing a manager to call the shots. But SL cannot be blamed for the crappy signings, that blame lies elsewhere.
I like you acknowledge the period of 3 seasons, you're right Nige did say that, compare it with LJ saying 3 years and we would be playing in Europe and obviously there is a big difference. I can also assure you that if there is no obvious improvement after 1 season I will be stood along side you asking for answers but he deserves the same financial and owner support that LJ had.
I’m no way a LJ luvee, never wanted him but never bothered with the whole LJ out brigade. However to claim he would of gone “much” earlier if fans were allowed back in is a bit rich. He was sacked after about 4 games (only 2 at home) of no fans. And no one knows what would of happened if the season was not disrupted.
Nowhere near as rich as claiming that the haters who were not even attending matches were responsible. The 'luvvies' cannot have it both ways again.
I mentioned that you said he would of gone sooner if crowds were still allowed in. So what has that got to do with anything? Onefor and RP have been bickering like a married couple since this forum began. They are the Jack and Vera Duckworth of NOT606
It has got to do with why I replied when it was claimed that SL pulled the plug along with 'the haters', my opinion is he would gone sooner if crowds were still allowed in. Because 'the haters' would have made sure of it.
I'm filing for a divorce on the grounds that .................................................................he talks s**t.. as does ole slice of lemon there!!
What sooner than the 2 home games? And that is bearing in mind it was on the second game he was sacked so basically 6 days earlier. Not a lot in it then.
