I bought a Waits album about four years ago, just on a whim. I now have about 10 albums. Mule variations is mebbe fav !
Not related to Paul Weller but I saw this band (Tame Impala) last night in Sheffield. Unreal live performance! I've seen a hell of a lot of bands but that was one of the tightest sets I've seen in a long while!
OLM did you go see Craddock in Piper a while back? I know he's in Hull alot, but this was supposed to be class. Moseley Shoals was a brilliant album.
I've just come back on here and have seen people in all seriousness claiming Ocean Colour Scene as a relevant band. Is this some kind of elaborate TWF wind-up? Because it simply cannot be ****ing serious.
I didn't even know Cradock was on in Piper, I wish I had. The Ocean Colour Scene gig at the City Hall a few years back was excellent, Cradock is brilliant to watch live. Moseley Shoals was indeed a brilliant album and Marchin' Already wasn't far behind.
You're not having Scotland too, all the Scottish punk bands were a bit cack. If we move onto the 80's, then they had a couple of decent bands, but late 70's they were way off the pace.
I guess I have to defend the punk in my country. No mainstream nonsense. Only bands real punk fans listen to. Descendents - Hope - 1982. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHd-PLgKlbs Reagan Youth - Jesus was a communist (the album cover and the band name are a political statement on america under reagan) - 1989 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r65C367hCVI&feature=related Dead Kennedys - California Ãber Alles - 1979 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW8UlY8eXCk&feature=related
