thats true, Welbeck actually never even put his hand up or called for a penalty, he had his back to the ref and im sure he might of himself been shocked to find out ref called for a pen, these deluded hater's don't really know anything, they are so biased.

the thing which is funny if that the OP is a Chelsea fan, do we have to remind him about Drogba? the way he used diving and pretending to be injured tactics to beat barca? thats the same thing like Chelsea cheated to beat them.

No disrespect to Drogba, he's a great striker, one of the best butif you ask me who's been the best diver in the last 5 years, it got to be Drogba

1 Rat face gets 1st, as he got a yellow card for it.
2 Welbeck as it was so bad it was good.
3 Hazzard, he is still trying to find the project to fall over.

Welbeck lost his balance, because he dived. It was almost as bad as Andy Carroll's dive last season.
Not surprised he didn't put his hand up for a

either, wrong place and the wrong time to want a fowl.
But seriously, he had no need to put his hand up as the ref give the pen straight away. Two dives in a few days is pathetic cheating(diving once is bad enough), I would say the same about players at my club, I hate it.

He looked for it and it was a fair shout. He got half a yard past Wright-Phillips, felt a modicum of contact and went over. I'd have been very aggrieved had it been given but if it was at Stamford Bridge it probably would have been.

Agree. And at Old T, a red card too.

The Terry foul was a more certain *pen I thought. In Europe a guaranteed pen but English refs let this stuff go in the box more often.

The ref, sensibly, given the toxic situation, did not want to award the pen. And Terry got on with it and did not complain afterwards.

It wasn't even in the same league as that Carroll dive <laugh>

The thing about Welbeck's dive is that we all know it was definitely a dive, but it's almost guaranteed that a large majority of strikers in this league would of did exactly the same in the same situation when a keeper needlessly rushes out and gives them the opportunity, kind of like how Suarez dangled a leg to get the most minimal of contact on his toe against Szczesny and then rolled around the floor pulling his socks down and rubbing his leg.

Is this a justification for Welbeck, whilst simultaneously slating Carroll and Suarez? How refreshing! <ok>

Stop being a ****ing moron for once and read what I have said, I have openly said Welbeck dived and I have never justified it, the first part of that last post was in direct response to a comment that somebody made and the second part is simply a fact, Suarez was just an example because of who I was replying to, if it makes you feel better he could be replaced with Bale, Walcott, Drogba, Ronaldo, Rooney and so on, take you pick really, although I'm pretty sure you would only pick the United players.

haha true, Carroll dive is in a different league, he rounded the keeper, had a open goal to shoot to but chose to dive rather then shoot, what kind of an idiot would do that? even the diving expert Drogba wouldn't dive at that point

When we are talking about cheating and conning the referee then we are looking at those whose actions were more devious and likely to work.

Suarez is a master cheat. He does it in such a way that there is some fleeting contact. If they didn't know his reputation refs will be conned more often. Hazard is not far behind. Welbeck's was not the worst his was just pathetic. Clearly a blo*dy novice, not good at it and should cut it out <ok>
