Thanks Rick, it seemed to just come from nowhere and totally threw me to be honest. I actually went back and re-red my comments to check that I hadn't writtten something in error.I didn't understand that either Thurnby.
Everything has changed. Football used to be looked on as an entertainment. If your team played badly and lost you just had a laugh about it - it was a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon with your mates. Nowadays if your team plays badly and loses it's the end of the world. If the other team played well you enjoyed watching it - nowadays the result is all that matters. I loved being in the Premiership watching the skill of top players. When Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City destroyed us I enjoyed watching the skill and entertainment but I realise that to some of you that is nothing short of heresy. In the old days a football match was entertainment and a good afternoon out - similar to the theatre or the cinema. It has now turned into a form of tribal warfare except to a few of us oldies.
