Actually I do like the idea of parachute payments divide up between lower leagues.

Though of course it would leave us down (as we get a share of our own parachute payments by being in the PL)

The £24m divided up equates to £1.263m each for the 19 other Prem sides. What is the point of dealing with numbers like that to a club of both Manchesters and Chelsea's financial capability. Whereas a chunk of that to a league 1 / 2 side could be the difference between sink or swim <doh>
FIFA and EUFA might well bleat about 'grass roots' football - but then they piss all over it! <grr>
