Who Northern Ireland? Croatia and Turkey just made it better. Where as England play possibly Portugal and then possibly France.
Are you sure or are you just spouting nonsense again?

Me I'm just enjoying it and if we go out next round, hey most predicted out at group stages so I'm a winner.

enjoy ROD really pleased for the Welsh, they deserve it.
As they say if your going to win it you got to beat everything put in front of you.
Can ENGLAND DO IT yes if they start hitting the net.

The way it's shaping up Crotia and Belgium will be on Wales group of 8 where as England have the others so can you please tell me what part of finishing second makes sense please?
Also as it stands I think it's more likely Albania to Northern Ireland next round.

Northern Ireland are through which is more impressive than the Welsh getting through <wink> on another note, it means more to Wales getting out the group than England which tells you where rhe mentality lies. England's is more on winning in my opinion. However it'd looking like Wales are on the easier side of the tournament whilst England are on the harder side with England, Italy, Germany, Spain and France, probably 5 of the favourites on one side of 8 teams

So if we had beaten Slovakia would we have been on the easier side of the draw ?
If so doesn't it call into question why we made 6 changes.
Or have I missed something ?

Yep but I bet Woy thought Wales wouldn't win against the Ruskies. But no worries RR and Shiny say finishing second was the better option <laugh>
Iceland to get you all excited though and then crunch matches

Very naive of Roy. Lots of things out of your control can happen when you gamble in a tournament. This gamble didn't, and Spain also not winning their group as expected means the split of the top sides to either side of the draw hasn't occurred and we are now in the side with 5 of Europes best. Well done Wioy!!

In fairness you've not got a bad fixture to play, plus Italy Spain means one goes. Still think you will / should go further I'm just enjoying the banter as Cidered is not around to help me. So I'm taking on all of you on my own <laugh>.
If the truth be told I bet more of you will find you've got Welsh in your blood as Bristol does seem to have a high mix with the Welsh during war times. My grandfather is Bristolian whilst my Nans proper Rhonda valley girl on my mums side. Most of my aunts / uncles and all my cousins are English as my old man from a 100% Welsh family is only child. Even my younger brother is English but he admitted that the Welsh side came through on Thursday for some reason.
Because of the mixed Welsh / English family (wife and kids are English) I've never understood the hostility to each other.

There are no easy fixtures in this tournament.
Iceland may not have a pedigree- but neither did Leicester in the prem.
They are there on merit - just like us - and we underestimate them at our peril.

it is fantastic that we have at least 1 team in the quarters hopefully 3 or 4 !
Wales have an amazing chance of progress, they say 1 man doesn't make a team My opinion of Bale has gone up 300 fold .. ok we have not seen some of those mercurial runs of a few seasons ago but I am impressed with his positioning ... gives the rest of the team a chance .. Giggs for wales = 5/10 how different Welsh footballing history may have been had he more passion, Bale for Wales 9/10 passion 11/10

All about teamwork and togetherness which was implemented by the late Gary Speed. He took on the Welsh FA and dragged them into this century.

JGF, for someone so good at stats you should know there cannot be 4 UK/Ireland teams in the quarter finals

Right I've enjoyed this week, and I'm doubtful that Wales will progress further than this point.
Talk about nervous though, remember you lot get this every two years barring a hiccup. I have only been here once in my lifetime so I'm basically a virgin to this but loved every minute (barring 90 seconds) of it.

It's been fun, I hope to get through to keep this feeling alive but I will let you lot try and seek revenge in the banter stakes.

Supercon I'm just glad you was proved wrong, remember you struggled against two teams that we beat, one very convincingly ;)
