I watched some of it and felt that it reverted to what I previously knew, that being somewhat naive and in some bits, amateurish! Having said that, agreeing with what BCFC said, they can only play what’s in front of them and they did the job!! So well played to them all. One thing though, City could actually learn the art of game management from this England team!!!
I think it's great the ladies won but a few weeks back this was the headline, where was all of the fuss then, a few meagre media reports and then all was forgotten, Alex Scott was even involved, they could only play what was put in front of them as well, they won, they were Champions of Europe but no message from the Queen, no message from the Prime Minister not even Gary Lineker gave a mention. it's all hyperbole. That was a very good game .. both sides ... there was some very good passing and defensively they [ both teams ] kept their shape if only BCFC watched .. they may have picked up a hint or 2 of keeping the faith and the shape .. covering and getting stuck in.....
Well done lionesses for a brilliant win and I might have been the only one watching it here in Canada so especially enjoyable. I also went back to my visit to Wembley on that wonderful day back in1966 when as a younger man I also saw England beat some German team and the World Cup. West Ham 4 West Germany 2 AET.
The Germans aren’t happy…. UEFA Women's EURO England 2022: German press reacts to defeat https://mol.im/a/11068325
They conveniently forget Lampard's goal, not given, and before goal line technology. Whingeing Krauts!!!
It may just be the German Press, who knows. The celebration was a bit ott, I’m not sure it would go down well if the men dropped their kaks and ran around the pitch
Saw this on OTIB - very funny https://newsthump.com/2022/08/01/womens-football-hooliganism-still-has-a-long-way-to-go-admits-fa/
Was this you RP? Seems to share your views…….. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/news/bristol-news/bristol-city-condemns-unacceptable-abuse-7431564
why is it unacceptable abuse? why is it abuse? i might say this "women shouldn’t be at the football but in the kitchen". to my mrs should a club and the Bristol Post be reporting it like some crime took place?
Nope I was supposed to be laying a patio but I had to fix a bloody leaking tap instead. It needed to be ground and re-seated Working on the patio this afternoon. I haven’t been to the Gate since the 1-1 draw with Fulham - last game before the COVID ban on supporters in stadiums.
