Given that there isn’t a “1” in the year, Spurs cannot win the FA Cup, so how about Lincoln City drawing a visit to White Hart Lane and putting them out of their misery?

Have to say that the away draw is the almost perfect draw for Lincoln.

If Sutton win on Monday, Lincoln will probably go there as favourites against a lower ranked non-League team, which gives them a great chance of getting to Wembley for a huge pay-day.

If Arsenal win (as most expect) on Monday, Lincoln get a huge pay-day at the most expensive ground in the country. What they would obviously like (other than winning) is a replay at Sincil Bank for another pay-day that will sort the club’s finances for years.

But as the manager said on Sports Week, Lincoln are only looking as far as Tuesday night at bottom of the table North Ferriby United, which will be the biggest crowd of the season in East Yorkshire when the away fans go up the A15 across the Humber Bridge.

It is a perfect draw QM though Chelsea, Man U or Tottenham would have been ok too. Arsenal should win tomorrow which as you say would net a huge cheque for the Imps. Next Saturday they're at Boreham Wood in the quarter finals of the FA Trophy. 1 game from Wembley in the FA Cup and 2 games from a Wembley final in the FA Trophy. Heady days indeed for Imps fans. Of course the blot on the landscape is that the Cowley boys will doubtless get lured away soon enough. Notts County made an unsuccessful pitch for them last month. Still, surfs up at the moment so hopefully Imps fans can ride the wave as long as possible. It's been a long time coming.
