Of course we have to enjoy the good times when they are here and we've enjoyed a fantastic start. I wouldn't get carried away just yet though - we have a strong 11 but not a strong squad. If you take any one player and imagine a long-term lay-off for them, who would truly be good enough to take their place?

Pardew was honest enough in his BBC interview to admit to us not having enough strength in depth... our season depends on keeping our major players fit.

There seems to be this concieved idea that Ashley bank-rolls this club but he really doesn't. Believe me, 46,000 ticket sales makes a lot of money as does the sponsorship etc, so please don't think Ashley is some sort of sugar-daddy because he really isn't.
