Guys - PGFWhite does not mean to be a bad winner... I know where he is coming from, basically all we ever get from teams that play us is that they've had a bad day at the office and they played poorly. Whether in your case it's true or not - it does get a bit of a joke tbh.. Not everyone who plays us can be having a bad day at the office.. Sometimes we've simply been the better side.... Good luck for the rest of the season..
And there have been games where we've rightly criticised Baird and Hughes at right back. Kelly's also had some good games at right back this season. Ideally, we'll sign someone else in the summer, but the current options for right back are no better than Kelly (although both are considerably better in other positions). Maybe Jol should try Simon Davies there, or even Riise the Younger if he's still at the club. My point is that when we have played alternatives to Kelly and Senderos (who I still rate, by the way) they have often fared no better.
I'm going to stick my neck out here - Senderos was at fault for all 3 goals (not exclusively but he could have prevented all of them) - Both FBs were poor but in part that was because they were constantly left horribly exposed with neither Dempsey or Ruiz tracking back - Ruiz is not a right winger; if we are to get any value from him he should play high and behind the Pog I firmly believe the team selection was wrong on Saturday but there was still enough out there to make a better game of it than we did. What was drastically missing was an energy level necessary to win in the Premiership (Dembele and the Pog excepted).
