Looks like there will be even more bad press around the derby. Rovers glass bottle thrower has left a young lad partially blind and needing over 80 stitches (apparently)

 

Any links to mention of this in the HDM?

 

Gwylum never saw the bottle throwing, in fact he never saw an empty seat.
Stand by for another white wash if reports are correct about the lad getting bottled. Heard from a relative working at the KC yesterday that they were fighting all over the place. Also the mural on Chants Ave has been vandalised.

 

The court's will throw the book at them. A previous one caught got fined over £200 and a temporary ban from the ground after admitting bottle throwing.

Sky Sports commentators made reference to Rovers fans throwing bottles at the Hull players when they were scoring for fun at the end. I've asked 'Ull Larve numerous times if they want to run a story on it but it seems they are more interested in the naked man running the streets in just a puffa jacket.

 

I actually went yesterday (I had nowt to do and a load of mates were off anyways, decent excuse for a pissup), and there was loads of bottles bring thrown at players and fans.

 

What happened to this hooligan? Court appearance, jail term and banning order? Court appearance, heavy fine and banning order? No, £85 on the spot fine and all forgotten.

Compared to someone fighting back against a mob of Huddersfield fans who hadn't been to the game because they were all banned, who hid in bushes and then ambushed City fans leaving the game on Walton Street car park, three years inside and your face all over the front page on the HDM. No-one from Huddersfield was charged, just a dozen or so lads from Hull.

No, it was a plastic bottle from the concourse and the stitches rumour is massively exaggerated

No comments from the clubs or the authorities. The Plod would have been all over it if it had been at City. Promises of tracking down the culprits no matter how long it took, poring over videos for weeks.
How many arrests and banning orders will come about from this episode. A fair guess will be none and it will be all swept under the carpet and forgotten like previous episodes involving fans of the family game.
