More like Police intelligence telling them, 'lets milk this while we can because one day someone is going to cotton onto this and start asking questions'

Repeal the draconian Act that allows all this.

Ken Bates put a small dent in the money machine, successfully arguing the football club was not responsible for the costs of policing the city centre on match days.
And not least of all, our little rebellion regarding the Huddersfield bubble.

One bottle on one football pitch per season and the act will remain. Rugby League? Has parliament heard of it?

    I’m not sure though
Don’t they simply charge the club for Police in the ground anyway?

Apparently the cost of policing games has been falling year on year, our most expensive season was 2014-15 (in the Premier League obviously), when we paid about £16k per game.

Yorkshire have some of the highest charges, Leeds by far the highest, but bizarrely, in 2014-15, Barnsley paid more for policing than Chelsea or Newcastle.

The ground and the immediate environ, following Ken Bates appeal. For us, at a guess, KC, West Park and Walton St.

Yeah it was in the ground I was referring to
More Police simply means more paid by the club. It just seemed many more than usual to me.
Presumably assuming trouble, but not sure why

No police needed for the 16,000 Hull fans that travelled to Huddersfield today

I thought given the enormous FC following that they had missed a 1 off the start of the attendance
    figure.

HDM bigging up our travelling support, despite it being lower than FC took to Udders, bloody football bias...

With tickets at £25 and concessions at £5 to £18 a shame the HDM didn't compare the price of a dad taking a couple of kids or an OAP taking a couple of grandkids to the price for the same at the KC against Forest.

What's the bottom line with the two scenarios for the dad/kids & grandad/grandkids for the two clubs ?

It depends on the kids ages, Forest is £25 for adults and kids prices are £5, £10 or £12, depending on their age, our tickets for them were £18-24.

I'm reading from your numbers that Forest away fans get a far worse deal than City equivalent away fans ? I just don't know the numbers - but assume the usual Allam approach is typical of their insensitivity & money grabbing tendency ?

I’m season card holder at Forest but have bought an £18 senior ticket for the city end with my son and daughter their tickets cost them £13 each, they’re both 22 years old.

You can only charge the same for away fans as home fans for equivalent seats so the bottom line is City fans are worse off than Forest ones for an equivalent game.
Forest's new owners dropped the prices and have been rewarded with better crowds.
Obviously not business geniuses like our owners.

I'm confused - not an unusual state I have to admit.<doh>
Hull v Forest @ K.C. Dad plus 2 kids ... what's the price dad pays? (Home family, away family)
Hull v Forest @ K.C. Granddad plus 2 grand kids...what the price granddad pays ? (Home family, away family)

What's the equivalent for same parameters for Forest v City matches ? ( At the City Ground...the one in Nottingham I mean <laugh>)

I'm being anal here, but still don't have the answer I can understand.
Apologies for being persistent & a pain.

Prices at Forest for the City game are-
    Adult £25, Over 65 £18, 18-23 £12, Under 18s £10, Under 12s £5.

So for myself as an OAP to take my 3 grandkids, 1 over 12 and 2 under would be a total of £38.
Tickets for the game v Forest at the KC would have been 4 x £18 a total of £72. You can do the maths yourself for any combination at the KC. Everyone pays £18 for a game in that category.

Notice the 18-23s prices at Forest. Just the age group you want for more noisy support. And the prices for Under 18s and under 12s. How to be able to afford to take kids and get them hooked and for teenagers to be able to go with their mates. Unlike City, where once you get past all the barriers put in the way to put people off the bother of going to the effort of buying a ticket the pricing structure is ludicrous.
