He has a funny idea of the concept of months. City's last 2 home games had higher attendances than The Biggest Derby In The Universe And Everywhere Else. As did St Helen's v Wigan. And you can bet that Wigan v St Helen's will have a larger crowd innthe return fixture than FC v Rovers which has never once sold out the 23,500 capacity for RL games.

They could learn a lot from Rugby Union on marketing. They have already had over a million applications for tickets for the upcoming World Cup in Japan, hardly a hotbed of RU. (Wonder if it will get a mention on Sportstalk?). There were far more applications in this country for tickets than available, 350,000 for each of the 2 games in Brighton for example. The RU organise club games at Twickenham. Recently 82,000 turned up for Saracens v Wasps. I wonder how many would turn up at Old Trafford for Salford v Hull KR ( RL having to borrow football stadiums if they want a crowd over 25,000)?
Having said that the RU are as inept as the RL with constant changes to formats and rules.

Be some showboating on Thursday as fc play their first home game of the new super league season. They have 8,000 'members' if reports from the club are to be believed and for the opening match v local rivals Castleford Tigers members can purchase another two tickets for just £5.
That's a good offer by any ones standards and one that should prove popular and put bums on the other wise empty seats.
Meanwhile what benefits are City's marketing team coming up with for our club's members and what are they doing to entice fans back ?
