If halal meat is allowed for religious reasons then shouldn't the consumption of it only be by followers of that religion? Non-muslims should only be allowed to eat meat produced legally. Difficult to police of course but in principle halal meat is allowable for muslims to eat, not for the rest of us.
How many have gone to Turkey on holidays and eaten meat and I bet no one ever thought what kind of meat it was!

I buy lamb and chicken from my local Hallal butchers all the time and it's always excellent and always fresh . Not like the ****e you get un Asda that pumped full of preservatives and colouring to make it look just so .
