Leonardo, i guess you woke up with a headache! I hope the finger is okay! Mr H cut off the top of his finger once, long story, but i had to go scrabbling under the car to find the end lol...it was a bit squidgy when i picked it up lol

Sort of - it is a mess - I was shifting a 50 kilo stone from out of our cottage wall and trying to get it on a trolley - it slipped and cut / crushed the end of my middle finger which sort of "burst". Swollen so much I cant get the skin to meet up so have just wrapped it and changing the bandage frequently hoping that as the swelling decreases I can "butterfly" the skin together - stupid of me not to wear protective gloves - but always wise in hindsight :(

Son in law is a doctor and we phoned him and he said A&E wouldn't be able to stitch a finge rso just keep it clean and bandage to pull it together gradually - if it is stillbad Tuesday I will go up the docs - unless it gets infected before that - hope not

At least if it bled out then there shouldnt be any dirt or foreign bodies in there!

Change the bandages at least daily!

Should we have a separate thread for medical advice? Over a period of time it could build up, be indexed, and then become a valuable addition to these boards.
