Trouble is they are frightened of their own shadow on there.....Worried that they could be involved in law suites re what you posting and their involvement. Trouble is that site went world wide so they have a reputation to keep up.....yeah right..... I can spread nonsense as well,

TBH I dont think its a big issue on this ocassion ,although it is a little worrying that the Mods can seemingly change and edit the content of any reply to change the meaning and intent behind the comment, to one that in this case suits the Mod, about whose team he supports,the comment was directed.

That is surely worse than deleting the entire comment a la BBC 606 and denying freedom of speech! For instance this current comment could be edited to read' I agree wholeheartedly with the Moderator and support his splendid editing policy' Extreme example, granted, but feasable and surely undesirable?

Still early days and I am now a Senior Member!

Actually Blue three...... it does beg the question is it honest?
I think it was done on this occasion perhaps to turn a straight forward post into a bit of light hearted banter. I have to admit to replying to it as such. I think it was done as a jest. I really do not think, like you, it is a big issue. A little in-experience perhaps, not realising the possible consequences of such a light hearted action, but on this occasion innocent enough. We all have to learn from our experiences. It could of course cause serious problems and the ruination of some debates. I think the lesson may well and truly be learned.
Nice to see we can debate in a sensible way my friend long may it continue.

Depends on how you look at it olddellboy on the one hand he was useful and on the other you could say he was the spare one at the wedding As you can see both not necessary a handful.

 

Apologies for my late reply (work and all that jazz) , firstly as your MOD I feel I should not have to justify my actions but in this instance as we have alot of moaning goin on I shall.

Colin comment was editted in order to stop the begin of what would be a argument about the best South Coast team as the orignal comment placed by Colin was refering to. That comment was inteded to start trouble hence why direct action was taken!

Should you want to do a thread on the topic of best south coast team , knock yourselves out - please refrain from starting a forum war!

So as MOD I took the correct action to edit it , which has over the rest of the week meant there has been no arguments has arisen from that!

Actually KingslandSFC, I am not sure that editing 'without' to read 'with' really is either necessary or justifiable. It was hardly offensive and not a' we are better than you are' article like this one, which whilst not really controversial nor offensive and remained unmoderated and posted on Pompey's 606 board by another unidentified poster,generated some lively discussion!

Maybe we need a bit of friendly banter to get this site for our respective clubs really moving?

I am certain this is the site to replace 606 so lets all get off to the right start as no doubt nearer and at the seasons end, it will be a banter heaven if both clubs achieve this seasons ambitions and end up in the same league next season.
